Ah, such bitterness. Like I said, you can see how much it hurts. And what makes Bobby Charlton any different to the others? England's top goal scorer of all time, second highest number of full caps for an outfield player, only Englishman to ever feature in four World Cup squads, first Englishman to captain an English side to the Champions League, ambassador for the 2002 Commonwealth Games and 2012 Olympic bids, fundraiser for cancer hospitals and ambassador for a landmines charity. Yeah, he doesn't deserve it at all, does he.
Kenny Dalglishs success at Blackburn was down to the money Jack Walker gave him.Well Ferguson success at Man United was down to the money the Man United owners gave him.Only an idiot would think in general a manager can be successful without money. There are exceptions like Mourinho at Porto, but these are few and far between.
Only an idiot would claim SAF had no money to spend at OT. However compared to the likes of Real Madrid and other major European rivals, Utd have not had as much resources a fact SAF has commented on a number of times. Again KPR nicely side stepping the issue of Dalglish's tenure at Newcastle and Celtic. Mind you, if I was a Dalgish arse kisser I'd also try and forget those seasons.
I think most every manager has a down point, or a bad spell at one point. Obviously we know all about how close SAF was to getting the chop, Dalglish at Newcastle, Scolari at Chelsea, Van Gaal is usually hated at most places but does the job. All I am saying is that sometimes what looks like a good fit is not, Dalglish fits Liverpool, and that's why it works. Mourinho might be the only exception but he might have some bad patch at one point or another. Benitez was in the second division before Valencia! So again, most managers have some sort of starting point, bad spot, wrong fit somewhere. Also we all know about taking over from one coach and style and trying to change it what it can do. Hodgson from day one does not, did not, could not fit Liverpool. Simple as.
I agree with that. This is the first year where Mourinhos stock will drop. Its the first time since 2007 he won't win a title or in fact anything.I can't see Real Madrid winning the CL.Does it make him a bad manager.?Of course not.Robbie Mancini won 3 titles with Inter, and is struggling with City,He also had success at Sampdoria.Paul Le Guen won 5 titles with Lyon and got bombed out of Rangers.Same thing.Walter Smith won 8 titles with Rangers, and flopped at Everton.Same thing. Some managers don't fit certain clubs.Guus Hiddink didn't fit Valencia. But he's a top coach.Rafa Benitez didn't fit Inter Milan. It doesn't mean he's been unsuccessful.
