I don't think that this result in isolation has any bearing whatsoever on whether Harry leaves or not. He may well stay for reasons of his own. He might not be offered the England post in any event but I'm sure that the decision will not rest on the result of one game.

I agree , although as the commentators said this result may affect the way Spurs finish the season, I'm sure that who ever the FA select the process has been going on since whats his face left them in the lurch

Perhaps he can do both jobs at the same time, don't understand the need of a full time manager for games that are once in a while, what do national team bosses do when there are no games ?

I Get the feeling Harry aint having the England job anyway. He may have it temporary for the euro's but i cant see the FA risking such a dodgy charector Long term . The Spurs job for brenden was only paper talk to unstabilise us for the game at white heart lane anyway. It is far too early for buck to go to a top 4 team,he needs to learn alot more about the opposition tactics first . Would be a risk at a top club if they had a sticky patch IMO <ok>

On a slightly different note , I'm really looking forward to Barca v Chelsea next week .the last time Barca played a Premier league club it showed such a gulf in class and regardless of how well Chelsea played today I'd be surprised if they come away with anything .

barca are the dream team with real madrid and both sides would in my opinion beat anyone of our premiership sides 9 times out of ten, absolutly fantastic football that is a pleasure to watch....

Really? Don't think so. I don't believe the likes of Shearer were championing his cause for the England job just to destabilise Swansea City. <laugh>

That would be cruel and undeserved. When Harry took over weren't they near the bottom of the table thanks to Jol. He's done a terrific job there.

you cant say its paper talk when it is reported everywhere, there is no smoke without fire when these things happen and brendan does not help by stating that the swans will carry on without him, I guess we will all know soon enough when the seasons ends and what will be will be, My gut feeling is that he wont go anywhere but thats just a gut feeling and should he go then we will just appoint someone else and carry on just like we have been doing for the last 100 years.....

I agree Dai (gulp). As important as we think we are I seriously doubt there was a conspiracy linking Rodgers with the Spurs job just to put us off our game at Tottenham. Frankly, it's laughable.

Well time Will tell i guess. If he goes then he has done wonders for our club and would go with thanks from me. It might make it hard to keep/sign players though and that Will be bad news for us.

Maybe reading into what gylfi says about staying Will give an indication of brendens future?

There is a post on planet swans saying that a deal has been done with Spurs and the players were told weeks ago, hence the drop in form. Personally i Think thats a load of bollocks, something would have leaked by now.

I'm not sure about all this, but analysing some facts, the compensation clause the board put into his contract of 2.5 Million, seems to me to be very low, and I can't quite understand it. One thing for sure if Rodgers went to another club any time soon he'll get found out, to me he's still very much a rookie, and I never took seriously the talk of him going to Spurs! There has been a lot of talk, about Rodgers definitely moving on this summer, and even El gaffer coming back, but personally I think it's a load of rubbish! Maybe the Media don't like a Welsh club showing them up, on how to play football, and are trying to unsettle things in our camp, laughable though!.....................
