    Eh?

I just answered your question. We benefited and suffered from poor refereeing midweek. Thats what you asked wasnt it?

Well now you do. Glad we could clear that up :)

Massive meal? He had a four course buffet and took six doggy bags home! Fat Frank got very jealous...

That 96th minute goal against City in 2009 obviously didn't matter at all then <ok>

I asked when it turned the game against you, yes you could argue for a pen in that game but you had already had a huge amount of help so in no way can you argue the ref cost you.

When did utd last lose points because of decisions?

After all, you lot have already established that a bad decision early in the match outweighs one later in the match. Thanks for establishing that <ok>

Suarez had always wanted to be a goalkeeper and on this day, during the 2010 world cup finals in South Africa his dreams were about to come true.

I just don't like it as a development in the game. It's called football; not run into a player to claim contact ball. Not Singling Young out here, it's been Bale last few weeks. We have players "good" at it too.

What I really hate is that commentators have started "applauding" the skill involved in making sure of contact. Don't get me wrong going on a Mazey run that confuses a defender so much he fouls you is one thing. That's still about skill with the ball. Launching parts of your body at alien angles to claim "contact" stops it being football anymore.

He's not bitter or anything is he? And that's when he bloody comes out on top.

Very disrespectful but I'm sure Rafa won't lose any sleep over it.

So in a game where the ref bizarrely disallows a goal and fails to send off a utd player, you claim the officials cost you points???????????????????????

In one sentence you say you don't do it, then in the next you're saying it was your downfall...

After those mistakes which yes were wrong, United were then undone by a bad refereeing decision.

Of course had the ref got both right we would of lost but once he got one wrong it meant that United then lost out because of the ref. Its pretty simple really.

Yes, our attempts to get something from the game left us wide open and easy pickings. Its rare but it does happen.

Crikey, have you got a degree in law? The old 'pick an individual example that isn't in line with someone's theory and pretend it blows apart their whole argument' chestnut?

The fact is, Swarbs (and this is the argument I believe you've tactically ignored) is that a penalty at 0-0, or any other level scoreline, is more advantageous than one if you're winning 3-0.

Early in the game it can lead to a comfortable victory, like today. Late in the game it basically seals it. You were favourites today, clearly, but who's to say that Villa wouldn't have got a flukey opener had that pen not been given? Compare us versus Newcastle. We're denied a clear penalty for handball...they go and score. The balance of the match chnges just like that.

What about if that penalty is awarded to Manchester United against lets say, Chelsea and its Chelsea winning 3-0?
