If he doesn't then he is probably missing a trick: http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/spurs-legend-waddle-managers-tell-players-dive-343051 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/15152601 and of course: http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...n-insists-young-not-blame-qpr-red-card-169217 “He felt contact and we are the first to say to our players ‘if you feel contact in the box, go down’, because you are looking for any advantage you can get. If he feels contact, he is entitled to go down.” Says it all really. I have no inside source inside the Utd camp, so don't know what instructions are given to our players, but I seriously doubt QPR are the only club to give their players that advice...
The only way we'd get a penalty when I used to play was if someone actually took your leg off, and then if it couldn't be sewn back on.
You aggressively criticised Young for the pens more than any of the ABUs and WUMs. he didn't dive in the opinion of most United fans. But you behaved like you were an ABU. Even some of them gave him the benefit of the doubt. Did you listen to SAF 's interview? he said that it was definitely a penalty although Young was a bit theatrical when he fell. He said tht it was not a dive as there was contact. Are you now going to criticise the manager. You are one weird fan I can tell you.
Maybe he's just capable of being objective. If most United fans think he didn't dive then most are wrong- contact per sé doesn't absolve a player from being labelled a diver.
We all have different views on this. We'll just agree to disagree. Just like the scousers think that Suarez and Gerrard never dive. I and many other fans do not believe that Young dived ok? live with it !
He did what 90% of players would have done . Let's not be sanctimonious about it, Daffy. SAF said he made sure and his fall was theatrical but it was a definite penalty.
I guess it depends on your definition of diving. For me, falling over when the action of an opponent doesn't cause it is a dive.
Well said. Does the scouser bast**d Basray dmit that Suarez and Gerrard are divers? Let's see what he says...
They hadnt really touched the ball up to then. 92% possession and all that. It allowed them to play safe. Make it tougher for United to score as they wouldnt be playing all out. Play all out at OT and you are going to get destroyed 9 times out of 10. Not saying it gave them a better chance, I dont believe they had much of one to start with. It saved them from a hammering imo.
