96 Liverpool fans went to Hillsborough to see their team and never came back home, no one deserves that and today its not about rivalry, its about just respect for fellow fans. R.I.P to the 96.
Today is about Manchester United v Aston Villa. Yesterday was about the tragedy, Liverpool and Everton fans side by side at the home of football. Doesnt get much better than that for remembering 96 Liverpool fans who died at an FA Cup semi final. Today is a day for those most affected to pay their respects.
My opinion is that in exactly the same way I won't go and put a bunch of flowers alongside a road where someone I do not know has died, nor should we have little memorial treads on here commemorating something that didn't happen to us and has nothing to do with us. This isn't a slight on Liverpool FC at all, let them, quite rightly, do what they do in whatever way they want to. But, in exactly the same way I wouldn't expect them to commemorate Munich I don't see why I should join in with some utterly false happy clappy **** on this thread. I've heard way too many times that we milk Munich for me to consider it. Thanks anyway like.
I thought I was the only one who thought there was something wrong in mourning people you dont know, never met, have nothing to do with or are just faces. The number of people who say RIP daily for randomers is baffling to me. If everyone stopped caring about those who mean nothing to us then we would have more time to care for those who do. Quick edit, I apologise if this seems insensitive to anyone, I dont mean anything by it and its nothing about Liverpool or the 96. Its an opinion in general about every death around the world.
