Absolute rubbish. He was awful today. Some players have to be shipped out in the summer. New back pair please. Our defence is a joke!

We really missed Kaboul didn't we?

Gallas' age and injuries have caught up with him, just like King, never fancied those two together.

To be fair, he is not the first player to be made to look that bad, when coming up against Drogba in that form.

Fitness played no part in the fact that he's forgotten how to kick a ball. Several times he scuffed at simple clearances and interceptions, leading to goals or scoring chances. He played like an amateur with zero confidence or ability!

I don't think he was 100%, same as King. The only fit CB we had was Nelsen - who is awful himself.

As Roy Keane just mentioned on ITV, he doubts we'll see Gallas again in a Spurs shirt. I certainly hope not! King's also finished in my view. A great player but for all his injuries and now age catching up, he can't handle the big games. Whoever manages us next season and let's fact it, it won't be Redknapp, we need to get some quality in to build a "settled" back four. Changing the central defence every week is sheer nuts. We need regular leadership and quality at the heart of the defence to partner Kaboul.

Neither Gallas nor King were fit enough to play in this game today., They were probably asked to patch-up the shambles in the squod, for the game. You certainly can't blame them at all...

  8. We looked dreadful at the back. Benny made an awful error for their 3rd goal, and neither Gallas nor King looked good enough.

I really fear for the rest of our season, if that's going to be the quality of our defending.

Yeah and where is Caulker...? Being loaned out with the other players we need right now e.g. Corluka, Naughton... I'd even take Bassong over Gallas right now!

We've missed having the opportunity to play Dawson during the season, but Redknapp's mismanaged our options over the last couple of seasons.
How do we end up in the position where we've basically got no cover?

Gallas and King in wide open spaces of Wembley was always a disaster waiting to happen. My heart sank when I saw them paired together. We can get away with either+1, but together? Football savvy will only keep you out of trouble for so long when you cannot run or turn. Nelson should have started.

Sulked like the French pansy he is.

No doubt he threw in the towel in that game with 15 mins to go.

I though Modric was really poor today, as was Ekotto (spelling).

Gallas has to be let go now, he is past it. Ledley could still have something to offer, but not as first choice... he would still make good backup in my opinion. Ledley did ok today considering he was defending by himself for most of the game.

He is recently back from a lay-off, but it was his concentration that was appalling today - he was caught napping for the opener, and he always looked to be moments from a clanger in the game.

I've been saying for a while that Gallas will probably leave in the summer and we'll reshuffle the defensive options (Gallas and Bassong out, King to play a limited role - although that's a doubt now - Caulker to step up, Vertonghen to come in, and Uvini/Velazquez will arrive and be loaned out to gain experience before stepping into the squad)

    I blame Redknapp for this.
