Kind of anti-climatic if I'm honest...
a GK from champ? Hope he's wrong. GK should be last on our list surely.

  3. I hated A levels mate, i'm so glad i left. I've now got 18 months quality work experience under my back and an NVQ level 3, which is equivalent to 2 A levels anyway.

    <ok>

    Are you on acid?

I did an NVQ level 3 in about a month and a half! As someone who regularly interviews and employs people I'd take 2 A levels over an NVQ everyday of the week.

  7. Yes but i didn't have the option of doing it that quickly, we got the work to do over the course of a year, we couldn't ask for the whole bulk of it at once.

I used to finish a unit within a week or so and ask for the next one, but my manager wouldn't give me it for months. :S

And in response to your preferences to A levels, i'm looking for jobs in the NHS that value the experience i now have and the NVQ's over regular A levels from sixth form <ok>

Good luck with that, I know far too many people trying to get onto the public sector ladder who've gotten degrees and are currently sitting on the checkouts in Wilkinsons and Boots!

  9. Yep <ok>

I hated college, decided to go and get some work based learning and a qualification under my belt rather than dieing in college for another year taking notes.

I got a B in ethics which i was proud of but my heart just wasn't in to my history. I love studying history in my spare time, but we were learning about proportional representation and Hitlers use of propaganda in the 3rd reich ect ect, and i was just stressed to **** taking notes till 2 am in the morning nearly every day. Didn't do very well in that subject.

    w/e :) I've got a few interviews coming up

I loved history GCSE hated Alevel, we learnt about Robert Peel and his Corn Laws, mind-numbing doesn't even cover it...Dropped it at the first opportunity! I loved the banter at school/Alevel, plus I'd have been first one in my family since my Mam n Dad (I'm the youngest of 4 kids as well) not to go to Uni, it's always just been something I was going to do.

Don't regret it for a second though, I know everyone is different, but Uni has been hands down the best period of my life! **** knows what I'm going to do afterwards but the way I see it, I'm no worse off than anyone else going into work without a degree!

We did about 16th-17th century England, Henry VIII, Mary, Edward, Elizabeth etc etc.
Then for our coursework did about the French Wars of Religion and 16th century French monarchs. The hardest piece of coursework I've ever done. Got a B though, pretty proud. Got BBC overall in overalls, which was hilarious ha. Kinda disappointed if I'm honest. Though I didn't really apply myself. Barely revised for exams and did the coursework in the last week. I'm one of those students who does naff all then still manages good results. Yet if I worked hard I could get so much better. But nevermind ha.

You mean you're a student...I genuinely only know a handful of people who can work without 'the fear' of last minute work!

    Haha yeah pretty much!
Actually, I'm doing that right now.
Essay due in tomorrow, doing it about a movie, Wag the Dog, about some crap I dunno I've not read the question yet. Watching the movie now. Due in tomorrow, so technically plenty of time. Normally start it on the day so ya know, this is early for me.
Need to get it done today though. My mates brothers band are coming up tomorrow for a gig here in manchester with the pigeon detectives. getting in free backstage as 'roadies' so its all good ha. dont like the pigeon detectives but ya know, will most likely be going along to some sort of after party with them after the gig so its all good.

Pretty much the same as me, Got BCC and my B was 1 mark off an A, was pissed as **** about that. Did Tudors for one half of my A levels, and 1950-2007 Britain <yikes>. Manage to get along nicely without applying myself - every year I say 'next year I'm going to get my head down'. Never do though. But next year I'm going to ;)

wow, 1950 - 2007? there's a time period ya never normally see studied! Both my B's were only a small amount of marks off A's. Most annoying but nevermind.
haha yeah I always say that too. one day, maybe!

Hopefully he cocked it up and meant a winger from the Championship and meant Taarabt. I hope these aren't the two players he meant though after getting my hopes up with Gervinho.

His tweets are private though, I have to send a request to follow him.

One of my C's would have been a B's too if it wasnt for the teacher hating me because I'm lazy. I was the only one she gave a C to in the coursework out of the whole class when it was groupwork <doh>.

1950 - 2007 Britain basically became studying journalism towards the end.
