I loved the big man. Best keeper in my time watching the Hupes, but he got lazy. I believe that big Forster has it in him to be every bit as good, so it is a no from me. ARTUR BORUClast night revealed he wants to rejoin Celtic. The 32-year-old keeper spent five successful years at Parkhead before moving to Fiorentina in a £2million deal back in 2010. His contract with the Serie A side expires in the summer but they have an option to extend that by a year. However, Fiorentina are fighting relegation at the moment and no decision will be made until they know the outcome of that. Hoops gaffer Neil Lennon could be looking to sign an experienced No.1 if Fraser Forster opts out of a £2m move from Newcastle â and Boruc is preparing for all eventualities. The Pole told MailSport: âOf course I would go back to Celtic. I miss a lot of things about Parkhead and living in Glasgow. âIf someone from Celtic ever wants to have a discussion with me about the possibility of it happening sometime in the future then I will listen. Who knows whatwill happen? It would be nice to think that it might happen for me again there one day. âBut right now my focus is on helping Fiorentina stay up.â Boruc was a team-mate of Lennonâs and played under him for a short period. He was delighted to see Lennon lead the club to SPL glory this season and said: âIt wouldnât be a problem for me to work for Neil. I respect him and rate him. âHe is a great motivator and was always a leader. He was the captain when I joined Celtic and was helpful to me. Neil helped educate me in terms of what it was all about being a Celtic player. âIâm delighted that he has won the league this year. âIt is not easy to win the SPL and itâs great he has driven the club on again. I hope Celtic now get back into the Champions League.â
I'd take Boruc back in a heartbeat even though Foster has been excellent but I fear his wages would be an issue.
I really liked Boruc when he came first to Celtic. However his form slipped in his last season. I don't think it would be a good idea to take him back, I just don't think it would work out.
i would love him back, would also give us a that bit of experience in Europe that folk are always crawing about
