........Papa Allam stating that he'd like to see a wider share ownership of City? He said it before he took over the club and its debts. Now - if fans put in money (or, as he also suggested, other business people) there could be two results: a) The Allams could withdraw some of their money - should they choose to; b) There could be funds available to improve the squad.
didn't AP consider putting some money at the time this was mentioned.. presumably this has gone now that he's done the awful deed and bought into eggchasing wtf?
AP was hoping to invest, but changed his mind when saw how bad the numbers really were. The problem the Allam's have with getting further investment, is that they'd have to sell shares for half what they paid for them to get anyone interested, it's simply not a viable investment at the level they bought in at.
'that's the gamble' as they say - regardless of their worth it would bring in outside investment into the Club or at least money back into the Allams pockets would it not? Now the Allams don't seem to be able to buy the KC (for the time being at least whilst the present incumbents are in power at the Guildhall) they may decide to walk and allow someone else have a go having been seen to have done their 'duty' in saving the local football club..
