I can't speak for Fulham Traveller and Canary but I frequent a lot of other boards as well mainly Newcastle, Fulham, Sunderland, United, Pool, Arsenal, Norwich and Swansea.

I find discussing things with different sets of fans gives you a better sense of perspective at times.

I see your point in that in can seem patronising but certainly isn't meant to. I would still come on even if you were European and World Champions. Same with the other teams.

All levels of football interest me, right from Non-League to the top of the Premier League.

I was very happy to see my local team AFC Wimbledon come up last year and praised them for their performance, likewise with Palace when they beat United at Old Trafford.

I don't share the elitist views of many i.e Sky. For me the relegation battle is as important (if not moreso) than the battle for a Champions League place and Title.

I always keep a firm eye on Championship and League 1, League 2 now as well as AFC Wimbledon are in it.

Sorry that Battersea's been made to feel like that tbh. I think his contributions on here have been good. I guess when you're in our position it's maybe a bit too easy to read an agenda into "outsiders" posts which aren't there.

I really do fear for our chances now. With Wolves and Blackburn dead men walking, it's one from three now for me. If you take Wigan's last two games against those two as "won" then we'll need two wins to match them, and that's assuming they get nothing out of their other three (admittedly tough) games. In addition to their games in hand Bolton seem to have the easier run in against teams, with the exception of Spurs, who haven't much to play for. For me everything now depends on their form and whether or not they go forward with performances like the one against Fulham. Of course win 3 of ours and all that becomes irrelevant but to do this we need a massive upswing in performance and consistency; certainly against title and CL contenders anyway. For an away game against a relatively established and safe lower to mid-table team I thought they weren't that bad and certainly deserved a point, but in the context of where we needed to be tonight it wasn't good enough.

They are football fans, as are we. Our deep passions run for different clubs but we are all football fans. Diverse views are always welcome when engaging in spirited debate. Long may that continue especially when DL seems so convinced we will stay up! Sometime you need people to believe for you.

DL, does your conviction extend to letting us win at The Bridge please? Just asking.

District, Battersea and Traveller have been great posters on here. They do talk a lot of sense and have been very poignant when posting after we have suffered yet another away defeat. In fact they have been more positive than some of our own posters. They do indeed epitomise what is good about Not606, as cross board posters can come on here and state things that we may well of overlooked. Keep it up lads!
Unlike mustyfrog ( Swans fan ) who posted on here a few times and seemed like a decent poster that we accepted. He was even taking part in our prediction competion. But during the Bolton away game he showed his true colours. Twat.

For my part, I'm happy to read posts from non-QPR supporters on here, and while I see what Uber is saying, I believe his observation is born out of the pain of yet another defeat and might not have come to life if we had won today, and that's not a criticism, I too find my mind tends to veer towards suspicion and worse when results don't go our way.
DL, FT and BC are like roving ambassadors from 3 teams that some, indeed many people on here have little or no time for, and they know this only too well, so it takes a certain amount of balls to post here knowing that not everybody is going to agree with their contribution, so fair dues to them in my opinion.

Agree Telford both on Battersea and your fears!

I think we blew our best channce of survival today. Don't fancy us in the home games left, Spurs and Stoke play different from Arsenal and Swansea and their style will be harder for us at LR. MH got it wrong again today as I was afraid he would by changing a winning offensive team by bringing back Derry for Buz, to make us more solid away from home I suspect and in effect play for apoint. Wrong wrong wrong! Then he makes bad subs, why bring on SWP, and then take off Adel when we needed players on who could get us a goal when we are down one with only a bit to go. He is too negative - we should have gone 100% out for a win today, played aggressive, it was our opportunity as he says, but he missed it by bad calls.

I think we're in danger of agreeing each other to death. Today's game was huge. Win and Villa are in the mix, Bolton play their two in hand with real pressure and Wigan, realistically anyway, are playing catch up till the last two games. As much as I've criticised Taarabt on here, he should have been kept on in the hope the magic he can conjure would suddenly ignite. SWP? Crikey where do I start? When we signed him I'd visions of the player that exploded into football coming back. I thought maybe underuse at Stamford Bridge and Eastlands had dulled him and we had a player with something to prove. He started well too. He was tricky, lively and inventive for a few games. Now he just looks ponderous and predictable. God knows what's happened. I think I actually deflated when I saw him coming on. The abc of the actual tactics I'll leave for others to dissect, but, if MH does target games to win, then he's dropped an almighty bollock here imo.

If it takes a 'certain amount of balls' then it must be a very small amount of 'certain'. We all post anonymously on this board under daft pseudonyms like Uber_Hoop. We cannot easily be traced. We can, if we wish, say what the hell we like. We can re-invent ourselves as often as we like. It would be ballsy if we had to reveal our true identities.

My initial post on the subject of the participation on the QPR board of messrs BC, FT and DL simply asked why they frequented this space so often. I didn't understand it, as they were not WUMs, and wanted to learn why us and not some other side. That I was upset at our meek capitulation at the Hawthorns yesterday was probably the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of the reason why I posted this, but it was something that I had been wondering for some time. I am grateful to DL and BC for their considered responses, but also surprised that BC has chosen to retreat so easily given the outbreak of support for his kind here.

I said that I'd give someone else the last word on this, so apologies for breaking that. But if you read my words, at no time did I insult any of these contributors, nor suggest that they refrain from posting. Sure, I find some of their contributions a little patronising, but that's all. That's for me to deal with, eh?

I don't think i retreated, that suggests i was attacking before! I suggested taking a back seat because its a stressful time to support QPR, and as someone else said, like it or not i'm an ambassador of a potentially 'rival' club.

I know you weren't offensive, but your listing of all the other things i could go and be interested in instead of QPR read like an eviction notice from someone wanting confrontation in the heat of the moment. I'm not wanting to do that so suggested i remove the provocation. Also i came up with that solution before the general support of cross board banter was voiced.

I'm not looking to piss anyone off here, and most of my posts here are meant to have the effect of adding positivity to the debate. Uber (and rangercol) if i sound patronising at any time call me upon it, no problem. (kind of expecting this last sentence to immediately be called up!<doh>)

I've always made clear my appreciation of respectful, encouraging and insightful comments by non-Rs on here. We've been very lucky on our board to have attracted the likes of Thai Canary, District Line, Battersea Canary, Fulham Traveller, Scott Swan, SW6, Drogs, Ginger Marx and even Dragon Phil Jack when he's in the right mood!

Frankly, whilst my blue and white hooped blood determines my perspective, I'm on here to talk the football we all watch week in week out. To be able to do so with like-minded people backing other clubs just makes it all the more interesting. Different angles simply improve the quality of the picture we all end up with.

Whilst these guys might not have originated in or around the Bush (or Ireland), our non-Rs have much in common with many of us. They are all diehard, knowledgeable football fans and all support THEIR local club. Equally interesting, they all articulate and hold a sympathetic mirror up for us, as results and our reactions to them fluctuate between the sublime and the ridiculous.

Why are we able to host such a wide range of opinions? Quite simply because we have been lucky enough (through Northolt's amazing initiative), to have evolved a populous and dynamic board - probably the fifth most active of all clubs on not-606 and according to many, way better than most other sites, Rangers or otherwise. Lucky us eh? Are we really that selfish as to suggest something so good cannot be shared and enjoyed by others? It's certainly no mean feat to think that Norwich, Chelsea, Fulham and Swans fans would so willingly express admiration for things QPR. Only wish we were magnanimous enough to do the same for them.

Personally I do not regard these guys as being in any way patronising - it only looks that way because our **** results make us (including me) so sensitive that we react by kicking out at those trying to offer reassurance.

Has my take on this got anything to do with being a mod? Not at all, I've always enjoyed discussing and sharing my pleasures and disappointments with others for lots of reasons, not least because it provides better balance and insight. After all, as they say, no man is an island.

    Back to the original subject.

Survival is still possible, albeit in no way easily - and largely dependent upon others choking as things go to the wire.

Whilst we can praise or bemoan individual performances, the fact is that we get results when the team mindset is driven by the game-long sense of URGENCY as shown (in 15 mins) against Liverpool - and in the subsequent games against Arsenal and Swans.

Anything less and we struggle to capitalise on chances created. Some teams can win through on lack-lustre performance (e.g. West Brom yesterday) but clearly not us.

2 great posts Brixton - best I seen from you!! :emoticon-0150-hands

Just hope we don't leave realising it is URGENT until it is too late. There's is a huge danger that may have already happened yesterday I'm afraid!

Further to the interactions above relating to respectful non-Rs posting on this board.

I've PM'd Batterseacanary and others, making clear that they are most welcome to continue contributing on here. And that has everything to do with my being a mod!
