After years of being a yo-yo club of the highest order, going into the final games with dread, fear, trepidation and lots of prayer it was looking at one point that this may be one more in a long line of lets downs, its good to know its not.

Yes we have our disappointments where players just cant rise to the challenge, why cant they, well TBH I'm past caring, the why is not my problem they just cant and for once I hear our manager saying it, yes he hints at tiredness, he has to in public but its no more than an hint.

The good news, the reason life is good is that for once I feel I can look forward with some real hope, I'm envious of Newcastle and their magic carpet ride but I don't lose any sleep over it and I'm sorry for MicMack and his sacking but again, no sleep lost. At the end of each day and the beginning of the next one its my team, Sunderland, that concerns me, our present and our future and the present is fine, we are and remain a premier club with games to spare and the future looks interesting, exciting and positive.

Today is a lazy, very lazy, day of indulgence, tea and toast with The Sunday Supplement boys. 2 very good steak pies, small ones, for lunch with Kammy and Goals on Sunday then back to back football..

    Celtic v Hearts
    Man U v Villa
    Spuds v Chelsea

Then a nice pork joint with winter vegetables for Sunday dinner.

Then the final Titanic tonight before bed, LIFE IS VERY GOOD..

Whatever your day brings, whoever you are doing it with and however good or bad it is remember you have a day, many will not have woken this morning and life is no longer good for them.

Sunday is a very good day
    1. We aren't playing so can enjoy any games that are on and maybe just maybe they'll be a bit more exciting than ours.
    2. Sunday roast, Yorkshire puds and roast spuds (no veg can't stand the stuff).
    3. One or two pints in the club.
    4. The most important of all it's SUNNY.

The sun has returned to the sleepy picture postcard village of Coxhoe. The church bells have rung and the flock of elderly ladies have gone to pray to their god, at our age its always sensible to hedge ones bets.

The gentlemen of this sleepy outback will be preparing themselves to visit their temple for prayer, The Workman's Club and Institute, where they will enjoy a refreshing beverage, or two, a cheese and onion toasty and some light entertainment with big screen sport.

They will confess their sins to fellow worshippers before returning to their dwellings for a Sunday roast, nap and nag before returning for evening prayer.

I enjoy the Sunday supplement but it does annoy me at times with it's huge focus on the big SKY four and how they are dismissive of the rest of us (bit like talk sport)

My Sunday is about to be spent at the forbidden corner with the kids. My mind will be rebuilding the team for next season though.
