We do usually choke on the big occasions but the 2008 Carling Cup Final and 2010 away at Man City were 2 times we finally held our nerve for a big reward. That said I think our tired players and lack of form since January will be why I think we will lose today

Other occasions we haven't choked, AC Milan home and away last season. Inter at home, ditto Twente, Werder, and Young Boys. Arsenal in the 2008 semi final, City away in the quarter final, Arsenal Chelsea and Bolton on the run in to 4th. I could name many more over the years. But yes, I think we'll lose today.
We've known that for days, hence a lot of the pessimism on here, had Kaboul been playing, I would fancy us to win today.
Reading the threads for both sides I hope the game doesnât reflect mood on here, I hope both sides go out with a positive message from manager and fans alike and give us a match worthy of the occasion. I can understand fans of both sides erring on the pessimistic side (arenât all football supporters born pessimists) and certainly on here there are plenty of people queuing up to shoot down the optimists, but there is a match and a cup to be won 'fortune favours the brave,' and letâs hope (as a neutral) we see a fantastic match, I wonât forecast a seven goal thriller, but lets hope for some goals to rank alongside those scored at Wembley by Gazza, Villa, Osgood and Di Matteo.
Sorry, as you may have noticed have been awol in recent weeks, just noticed on his twitter this morning.
No probs WY, and no need for apologies, hope I wasn't too abrupt It's just a bit of a sore point with me and others in that it's given Chelsea a crucial advantage, and apparently Kab's likely to miss the QPR game too, so 4th place is receding even further
I still think Nelsen will do a good job, he hasn't really looked bad in any of his appearances for us and offers a threat from set pieces similar to Kaboul.
Just want to join the pessimists. I always used to say about my mother who is a born pessimist that it is easy to be a pessimist as you are either right or happy you are wrong and that is why I am joining that camp today. Having watched MOTD I was wondering why is it that Swansea when they attacked had 4 men in the box plus whoever had the ball to cross. We seem to be lucky if two (Ade and VDV ) are waiting for the ball to come in. This adds to the argument that our midfield does not contribute enough to our goalscoring especially with so many DM in the team. COYS
Oh and to add to that- I was really grumpy yesterday with Man City playing well again and Liverpool happy in particular with Carroll and where are we? Let's please recapture the form of earlier in the season and Chelsea go back to how they were under AVB. Every one seemed so happy yesterday and I am not looking forward to the game- I want to go to sleep and wake up after the nightmare.
wont ever say a bad word about King Ledley...i hope he improves on his last few performances....i hope he recognises that he could potentielly be making his last ever appearence for us in an FA Cup final this year so wants to get there...a bit like Mabbutt if im not mistaken in 91.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp might be chasing a Champions League spot but the FA Cup remains a top priority. He says: "It's about time we won another trophy. This is a great opportunity for us to go all the way this year. On our day we can beat Chelsea. We can beat anyone." come on..even though when i look at our team i think of what could have been..damn injuries!!!!
Cudicini; Walker, Gallas, King, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Parker, Modric, Bale; van der Vaart; Adebayor. Well Redknapp's going for it, I guess. I know that Cudicini's played all the cup games, but I expected Friedel to start.
Roy Keane hit the nail on the head in his first line ' you got to turn up' spot on...its about what is in our heads....wether we want it or not COYS!!!!
