Wow. 2-0 down at half time, go to play a bit of Age of Empires Online. Come back at the end of the game and we've won 4-3! In the word's of Chris Kamara: "It's unbelievable Jeff!"

    What a game.
It made the rain on the southern tip of Spain, less of a pain.
Still not sure a great escape is on the cards.
Seems so unfair that two consecutive (possibly) relegations have been caused by Admin points deductions.
But then....fair and football are not two words i tend to use in the same sentence!

If the older, more experienced players do not want to perform for the team, then 'Appy should bring in the youngsters.

It will still take a miracle for us to stay up, but I strongly believe that the "hunger" of the younger players like Sam Magri / Ashley Harris / Adam Webster, etc., could be f benefit to us. Players like Luke Varney are showing no real interest in fighting for the club, and I, for one, was truly delighted to see MA replace him with young Harris at half time today. Alright, Greg Halford scored two penalties for us today, but the commentators were saying that he had played poorly in the first 45 minutes.

We need the "fighting spirit" to stay up this season, plus the experience gained by our youngsters would auger well for next season.

Not trying to find excuses for them but sometimes we have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, until someone lets slip a comment or two later. For instance, Norris was playing with a double hernia for quite a while, until he got suspended and got his operation - and ouch, that's got to have affected his performance. I know he underperformed for a while and is back playing a lot better now. At the Millwall game a number of the players were suffering from a virus (that could be dangerous actually - I know, I recently had a virus that knocked me out for nearly 3 months) - apparently some are still playing even though they are still unwell. Cotterill had a number of players on the field who were injured and it seems that Appy has had to do the same thing.

I think you should call it the Pompey relegation thread, All similar threads will be merged here. then change it to the Crystal Palace thread after half time.

Unfortunately I won't be able to contribute as I shall be in the North Stand Lower cheering the lads on <ok>

If we do manage to beat Palace, I hope Brizzle don't go and beat West Ham; thus Robin us of our Championship status this very night.
