  1. We seem to love or hate stats, but we all seem to use them to rubbish or support an opinion.

    So here's a list of the Arsenal leaders and laggards in the PL (Played more than 5 games):

    Goals : RVP - 27
    Assists : RVP - 10
    Shots per Game : RVP - 4.4
    Key Passes Per Game (led to shot at goal) : RVP - 2.4
    Successful dribbles per game : OXO - 1.8
    Fouled per game (free kicks won) : Arteta - 2
    Offsides per game : RVP - 1
    Dispossessed per game : Ramsey - 2.8
    Turnovers per game (mis control caused loss of possession) : Walcott - 2.5
    Lost possession per game (sum of two categories above) : Ramsey - 4.5
    Average Passes per game : Arteta - 79.5
    Pass Completion Rate : Arteta 90.7
    Accurate Crosses Per Game : RVP - 1.3
    Accurate passes over 25 yards per game : Arteta - 5.4
    Through Balls per game (leading to goalkeeper to beat) : Song - 0.7
    Tackles per Game : Santos - 3.5
    Interceptions per game : Santos - 2.8
    Fouls per game : Song - 2.1
    Clearances per game : Kos - 5
    Beaten by opposing dribble per game : Song - 1.4
    Blocked Shots per game : Merts - 0.6
    Own Goals : Kos - 2

    So of your 66 league goals van persie has scored or assisted in 37 of them? Over half?! What a stunning player.

    Song's through balls and oxos runs are also impressive considering one is predominately a defensive midfielder and the other is barely a man yet!

    Nice thread did you get your stats off a specific website that I could use for a southampton version?

  3. He's also created around 80 other chances that were not converted. You are right - a stunning player.
