Nothing to do with us, but I do always find the relegation battle very interesting, and at times, it's the most interesting thing to watch when a league season comes to an end.

This is the current bottom six.

I think, it safe to say, Wolves are gone. Villa are probably just about OK, but you never and they have to face Bolton.

    Aston Villa Fixtures:

    Man Utd (A)
    Sunderland (H)
    Bolton (H)
    West Brom (A)
    Tottenham (H)
    Norwich (A)

    Queens Park Rangers:

    Tottenham (H)
    Chelsea (A)
    Stoke (H)
    Man City (A)

    Wigan Athletic:

    Arsenal (A)
    Fulham (A)
    Newcastle (H)
    Blackburn (A)
    Wolves (H)

    Bolton Wanderers:

    Swansea (H)
    Aston Villa (A)
    Sunderland (A)
    Tottenham (H)
    West Brom (H)
    Stoke (A)

    Blackburn Rovers:

    Norwich (H)
    Tottenham (A)
    Wigan (H)
    Chelsea (H)

    Wolverhampton Wanderers:

    Man City (H)
    Swansea (A)
    Everton (H)
    Wigan (A)

Now, Bolton have two games in hand over Blackburn and QPR. But after getting beat by Fulham of all teams at home, I wonder how they will react. QPR, have won their last three home games, but are pretty poor away from home. They have Spurs and Stoke at home, I can see easily them picking up between 4 to 6 points in those games. Blackburn are dropping like a stone at the wrong time of the season. Getting beat by 10 man Liverpool at home is not good. Wigan, are one of the form teams in the league and they have become experts at surviving a relegation battle. Villa, should be alright, but if they mess up against Bolton at home, then they could be dragged in.

IMO, Wolves are gone. Blackburn and Bolton are the two that will join them. So, the bottom three will stay as it is. What does everyone else think?

If they do go down, It will be a shame, we can no longer loan our best young players to them in the premier league. They gave both Ryo and Jack plenty of game time, under Coyle. Although, this really is a selfish point. <laugh>

Steve Kean has had a torrid season. His own fans have been baying for him all season. To his credit he has stuck to his principles and got on with the job and has managed some great results along the way, but it might not be enough - and those fans who have been giving him **** all season will justify their actions if Blackburn get relegated.

Alex McLeish has taken Villa from being a European challenging side to one which could quite easily get caught up in a relegation battle.

I bet the Brum fans are begging for Villa to get relegated.

McLeish would be a marked man in Birmingham if that happened <laugh>

  14. I am hoping QPR go down - Joey Barton and Mark Hughes deserve it.

Bit of a catch 22 because I also hope they beat Spurs.
