holy christ, what a ****ing strange day of football. To top it all off both paynter and carroll score on the same day
But remember, we are in a position where in a single day of football, a win for us and a loss for West Ham will magically require us to get only a draw to guarantee promotion. And as results today go, I think the Bristol City result did us a favour. A loss would have demoralised them, a win would have put them too many points ahead of relegation to really motivate them. A draw is perfect for them to try to up their game against West Ham to take them to safety. What does worry me, though, is that there is one more staggered game - ours on TV against 'boro, followed by West Ham's evening game on Monday against Leicester. It will give West Ham some idea of their fate, dependent on that game, and unfortunately we can't be safe by then, especially now our GD has gone! Thing about staggered games, though, is it favours the team playing last only when the first team has had a negative result - beat 'boro and imagine the pressure West Ham are going to feel. Our lads will know that. Hope Brighton lose the rest of their games and get relegated next season.
