Fair enough let's give that logic a try then shall we? Lambert's bad points: bit slow, occasionally misplaces passes, occasionally makes baffling decisions from free kicks, occasionally goes missing in games. Do I think he's poor? Hell no, I think he's amazing. That logic fell down pretty quick there didn't it.
ok, I like a bit of sarcasm. Trying for a sensible debate.... if you are up to it. If you're not fine, just lt me know. Guly has not been consistently bad. Perhaps you don't see what he offers the team. His form has been inconsistant, but not consistantly poor. I am beginning to think that you think Adkins should go. What is your assessment of our season so far?
You clearly cant read. I said if you go into every game thinking he is terrible then you notice every bad thing he does. So in the case of Fox you said you didnt like him as soon as he got here. So whenever he did somthing bad you jumped on that and wouldnt let it die for ages. So with lambert you like him so if he made a mistake then all would be fine (although lambert has done his part this year so he does deserve to have mistakes overlooked) but my point stand if you hate a player from day one. You are never gonna like him, mainly due to arrogance and not wanting to be wrong
I'm with SuperSchneid on this one. You don't appear to have ever given Fox a chance. I'm one of Harding's biggest critics, but I was never against him in his first season with us. You need to players time, give them a real chance. Time and time again I've pointed out to you that Adkins is presumably fine with what Fox is doing, and may well even be telling Fox to do it, because he hasn't dropped Fox and nor has Fox changed his game. If Adkins didn't like his directed balls from deep, he'd have done something about it. So if Adkins is happy with it, then so am I.
Not sure on Adkins tbh. He's motivated the team well up to now. We benefitted from a wonderful momentum at the end of last season, carrying on into this. We've stumbled ever since the spine of our team gradually succumbed to injuries and have come back not firing on all cylinders. His transfer activity is far from an unqualified success. Jos is the only one who won't divide opinion, Fox only merits his place because Rickie can't get on the end of his own free kicks, the rest have been in and out of the team without making a convincing case for first team football. Guly was great until the momentum dropped. Him and lallana haven't scored goals this year and Guly hasn't played well this year. Finally I don't think he's got a Plan B. If Lambert or Lallana are gone we keep playing the same game with players that aren't good enough or aren't suited to pull it off. If it doesn't work we just lump it up to Rickie's head and if he's not there we lump it over Sharp/Connoly's head. edit: this season, stratospheric first half. punchdrunk second. on beginning of the season expectations still great, but we've thrown away something special.
5-0 and GD decimated. Starting to get annoyed with the twat reporting the West Ham game. I know he is a fan but aren't reporters supposed to be impartial? Comments like still gonna book the open top bus and describing West Ham as 'we'. grrrrrrr
Just so everyone realises the predicament we could be in by tuesday night. If west ham win 3-0, and we lose 2-0 we will be 3rd. Imagine saying that after the palace result.
We have to do it ourselves , what makes me want to cry us if we do not go up it will be solely our own fault , there was an 18 point gap between us and reading at one point .
