Thats a great photo, even Lewis almost looks happy for a change in it. Can't wait for the race tomorrow, this season is so much better with more cars in the mix and with King Schumi at the front of the grid I couldn't ask for much more really apart from another Ferrari victory, but that will be tough seeing as they only have one driver who can race at the moment.

He does look like someone's Dad, trying to embarrass his son (Rosberg maybe) in front of his mates (Hamilton?).

Interesting to see both Merc's fastest in S2. They might be so slow tomorrow down the straights with the added downforce so therefore less speed without DRS? To be honest, i cant even see a podium for them tomorrow.

He did. On his comeback in Malaysia in 1999 Schumacher was leading and handed the lead to Irvine and then headed off the pack so Ferrari got a 1-2.

Irvine's luacklustre drive in Japan ultimately cost him the WDC. The so-called Suzuka 'expert' was just too far behind Hakkinen/Schuey in that race for anything to be done. I magine if Irvine had been right up with those two, Schuey may well have moved over as if he didn;t want Irvine to win the WDC he wouldn't have moved over in Malaysia.

I'd forgotten that, now who's the grandaddy? Lewis looks embarrassed; Nico can't contain his joy.

But yeah, sadly I expect the Mercs to fade over the course of the race.

I wonder if the Vettel bashers will see his 2011 performance in a different/better light, now that we see that it isn't that easy to convert a pole position into a win.

TBH, it's looking more and more like it was the car last year that gave him the edge.

I see it the other way. A good car still needs the perfect setup/drive/start.

    good Qualy session!

Rosberg was miles ahead. Kamui also did a good job and can be a dark horse for tommorow.

Whats the betting Vettel will change his helmet again tomorrow as he is not happy with its luck?

I'm picking Kamui to win tomorrow. I have logical reasons too. Those Mercs fry tyres quicker than scots fry butter, and Kimi's lotus looks a bit tricky to drive. The Sauber looks great, Forza Kamui!

To be Honest with you, Webber is looking like the better driver at the moment (in quali anyway). Vettel can't drive around problems it would appear, whereas Webber seems to be able to.

Lets be honest the mood towards Vettel has changed across the span of 3-4 years.

This is how I see it to be honest:

2008: He was the talk of a future prospect and regarded the one to watch for the future and considered the young German underdog after winning Monza. The Perez of yesteryear! Oh yes everybody loved Seb that year, even A. Hamilton was telling the media that Lewis will have to be wary of him in the future as he knew how quick he was and that he almost ruined the WDC party by beating Lewis in a lesser car at Brazil.

2009, No complaints people liked Seb since he was a young man who got a chance at the sharp end and he almost beat Button to the WDC who had the Double diffuser. It was a breath of fresh air for the people who got sick and tired of the usual Ferrari vs McLaren battle, seeing Brawn and RBR do well that year put a whole new light on Seb, quick and unexperienced but still very young with a lot to learn. BBC media's words not mine: "It's not a matter of (if) Sebastian wins a WDC, it's a matter of (when) he wins it." His obvious talent is noticed all over the grid.

2010, The year which Seb is considered to be a title challenger with the RBR team behind him against Alonso in Ferrari, Lewis and Jenson in McLaren and a team mate with a new found confidence. Perspectives started to change around about Turkey when he collided with Webber (the media jumped on it), it got worse when Vettel ruined Jenson's race at Spa (the media jumped on it) pressure was being applied from all angles with Whitmarsh leading the new found jibe of "crash kid" the McLaren fans soaked it up. In the end he wins the WDC by pure chance that Ferrari screwed up at Abu Dhabi, was about time the luck ran Vettel's way for that season as it kept on going against him. He also steals youngest ever WDC from Lewis, which his fans didn't like very much as that record was short lived. He pretty much stole Lewis' thunder that day.

2011, Vettel runs away with it and now becomes public enemy number 1 as he was making the sport "boring" again, stealing Alonso's youngest double WDC, which surely stung for the Alonso fanbase, he was also outdoing Lewis with regard to the record books, also taking 15 poles in a season to boot. Articles of how good Seb was back in his day becomes a weekly event in newspapers, rubbing people the wrong way that their driver was being overlooked. Negative articles from the media at this time started to grow and grow, from people like Heidfeld "He wasn't that quick" (with regard to testing with BMW) Alonso now openly speaking saying Vettel is still not faster than him and Lewis. This is the point of when drivers around the grid started to use the mind games of dismissing Vettel as "all car and no quality" so that the media can do it's job and relay it back 20-30 times to Seb so he starts to get wound up "what more do I have to do?" these are the little traps that are being set for him now.

2012, New car and he doesn't like it, anti vettel's go crazy saying it's all because of the EBD and Newey that made him quick for all those years.

    2013, <monster>

I'm not pointing at anybody here for these thoughts about the perspective of vettel and I'm not upset of the mind games since they all do it. Dont get upset if you think i'm cheating on you all with different forums, IT WAS ONLY A FLING!!!!

Now I know what the Lewis fan feels like tbh and I'm happy my other drivers Rosberg and Perez are also doing well this season, because sometimes these arguments get very tedious and escape from the fact we are all here to enjoy a F1 season.

I've also bet on him, but you can have him this time.

But he needs to get Kamui fast.

But he's being beaten by Webber in equal machinery now. He can't be that good if a 2nd rate aussie is whacking him.

And yet Jenson was considered second rate before he beat Lewis and now he is in the "top 4", that's the funny thing with the media and public. Views change quickly!
