I think Carragher starting was more than sentimental. I think Kenny wanted a leader at the back. Reina is a leader, he organises the defence and keeps it cool. With out Reina I think Kenny may have been concerned in a game this big, with the potential for a lot of anger. Carragher is a great leader figure. I'd like to compliment every player involved for keeping it a fairly clean derby yet again. We had a lot of yellow cards, and a few silly moments between Suarez and Heithinga. But generally every one kept there heads well and played with dignity and professionalism. Must be decades since we had two derbys in a row with out a red card.

We've had the beating of Chelsea recently. On the other hand I don't know if we've beaten Spurs since Redknapp took over. I'd definitely take Chelsea even if it gives Torres (and Meireles) a chance to get one over on us.
