Kenny does seem to be a great cup manager for us, would love to see what he could do with us should we get into the CL! Hope our league performance improves next season 2, but the possibility of cup double this season? That's quite something
Quote of the season for comedy, any other position than first in the league doesn't compare to the domestic cup double. 7 years no trophy. JOKE
Going to be a good final, I don't care who we play. Just had an image of Torres scoring a winner against us..... C'MON YOU SPURS!!!!!!!!!
Emotional. This final is a massive deal for us. I am incredibly happy for Andy Carroll for getting the winning goal. He has improved so much since the turn of the year but still hasnt been getting his rewards. He missed a sitter but he made up for it with that goal. I believe thats only the 3rd time Carroll and Suarez have both scored in a game, and the first time Carroll has scored to games in a row for us, which will do wonders for his confidence. Suarez was pure class in the second half after a few silly moments in the first. Distin made Carragher's mistake look like nothing much at all, but at times this season we could have wasted that. Emotional. Come on Liverpool. Can some one predict fa cup final ticket prices?
Not really. The league cup is a joke. Its as unimportant as the emirites cup tbh. Thats why the big clubs play their reserves in it. As for the fa cup. Ok it matters slightly. But its not that big a deal to anyone who isnt 70 years old and remembers the glory years of the pointless competition. As for us. Yes 7 years no trophy. But our club is in wonderful shape. I would be worried about your shambles if I was you. We are fine.
Piss off if you are just here to wum. Since when has the FA Cup been a small cup? Your comment is stupid as you are nowhere near the league and not in the cups.
We were a completely different team in the second half there, definitely deserved the win overall as we should have scored at least 2 more with Maxi's and Carroll's sitters. Suarez was just immense, really stepped up when he needed him and drove us towards the win. Fair play to Carroll too who got better and better as the game went on.
your club has been in "wonderful shape" for the last 7 years and still won sweet **** all. God knows what you'll be like when RVP leaves, no winners medal has to be taking his toll on him
I knew it was going to be a close game with 1 goal difference and it didn't disappoint. Great game. Think we edged it overall, if I'm honest, but Everton had their moments also. Shame it was the semi and not the final though. Carolll played great all game, despite his early miss. Worked hard and won most of his aerial duels. (Still think Carra only played for sentimental reasons and shouldnt' start the final though - Enrique would offer so much more)
If it wasnt for an injury ravaged start and the transfer sagas which we could do nothing about then we would be up with city and man utd. We have more points than city in the last 26 games.
For a team to play in the final, I dont really care quite so much, as I believe both teams are even. Who ever we play, it'll be purely down to ourselves to perform big time to beat them. Chelsea have the experience in cup finals though, whilst Spurs dont. Chelsea's recent form is better, but they still have eyes on the Champions League. Spurs might be fresher. We have history with Chelsea in recent year, but only once in a final (carling cup 2005). Either way, its a massive final for both teams involved and English football.
