To be fair, we all feel like that on Tottenham High Road He looks to me to be back to his best at Blackburn, he is one ex-player that will always be welcomed back.
If it was Mick McCarthey and Tony Pulis, that doesn't help your argument. Robinson (and, it has to be said, Dawson) would regularly switch off and launch the ball down the pitch, when the rest of our team is built on passing and movement - and the fact that our squad's average height is about 5'6".
Actually one of them was Sam Allardyce The main point of my comment was to say that I believe Robbo's kicking was an asset to us rather than a hindrance.
We probably weren't the best side to benefit from it though, SC. A more aerially adept team could cause havoc with them.
I don't think it's only Martin Jol who can stop us,I think that they all can. Those who beat us at home lost at home 5-1.
Why couldn't both teams have played like that last week? Balotelli ahead of Tevez, Signor Mancini? Somebody get Alan Sugar.
im waiting in anticipation but not much hope as to how we will line up tomorrow....i dont trust Harry's set ups for the big games.
are you for real...we are the best at sucking our thumbs in a room full of tit's!!! remember us being 2 nil up at the cottage with only 20 mins left? we still lost 3-2 what about being 3 nil up v man utd at home ... and losing 5-3? or being 3 nil up at home to 10 man city and losing 4-3? or losing our last 6 ... yes SIX FA cup semi finals...including to already relegated pompey 2 yrs ago? We are fantastic at finding new and inventive ways of screwing ourselves up... Remember the no goal at chelsea last season...caused by gomes dropping an easy save? or that stupid goal at man utd ... caused by gomes being a bit 'special'? or us giving up the high moral ground v chelsea at wembley last month by gifting them 3 goals making the outragous 'not a goal' decision an irrelevance? I'm dreading the next 2 weeks but there is a morbid side of me wondering what new screw up we will come up with
Recently when all the doubts about Harry surfaced and we all assumed he was off and were looking around for a replacement, well in a way it kinda felt like coming home. Spurs were in disarray again! Losing was more then norm than the exception. The squad needed a major overhaul. All our best players were leaving. Worse squads were outperforming us. Things just felt right. Horrible, but right.
spot on Colin...you are so right..i was in my element this past few months...and all the taunting, abuse and that feeling that no matter what..eventually we will screw it up...all that was like water off a ducks back..i grew up like a bloody carcass being circed by vultures thanks to the shirt i chose to wear...fending off the droves of Liverpool,United and Arsenal fans.......now throw in the that club from fulham and City....but im ready...ready to tell em that regardless of all the facts staring at me..my team is still the best..we won the first double and one day we shall reign...your spot on Colin..this is where i am most comfortable....and also like you said 'sad but true'
http://goonerdaily.wordpress.com/20...can-never-finish-above-arsenal-in-the-league/ I just forwarded this to the club. That should motivate the players...
I stopped reading when i got to ' in all my years of supporting arsenal I've never seen spurs finish above us'...either his just a snotty teen or a glory hunting twat
