Junior is my instinctive fancy, though I'm worried about the drift out to 20s

Sunnyhillboy is my trend fitter.

Mon Mome is my rank outsider to run into a place

Best of luck lads, if it can't be me I hope it's one of you <ok>

I don't normally want Liverpool to win at all so would normally want Everton to smash Liverpool.

However being a Toon fan I need Liverpool to get into the final so we can get into Europe.

Never thought I would say this but come on Liverpool

Good morning everyone, another year, another horribly difficult race to even find a horse that will place! I taken a chance on 4 E/W - Cappa Bleu (18/1), Seabass (20/1), Neptune Collonges (40/1 - I really want him to run well!), and Tatenen who I think is hugely overpriced at 150/1.

In other races I'm on Zarkandar, Marufo, and Aland Islands (taking a chance on that Simonsig may be over the top, slim I know!)

This Seabass is getting smashed up for the National. Challenging Synchronised for favouritism in places.

Have a small E/W Lucky 15 on the following

AINTREE 16:15
Cappa Bleu @ 16/1 (GP)

NEWCASTLE 14:10
Blue Destination @ 16/1 (GP)

TRAMORE 16:00
Coolharbour Breeze @ 14/1 (GP)

TRAMORE 15:30
Volkis Oblue @ 6/1 (GP)

(PS I know on an earlier post I thought Cappa Bleu was too short but I do like it’s chances)

Have a small E/W Lucky 31 on the following

LINGFIELD14:30
Buthelezi @ 8/1 (GP)

LINGFIELD 14:00
Bronze Prince @ 10/1 (GP)

AINTREE17:05
Sire De Grugy @ 9/1 (GP)

AINTREE 16:15
Synchronised @ 9/1 (GP)

AINTREE 15:25
1/4 places 1,2,3
Noland @ 12/1 (GP)

Also as earlier advised have backed Neptune Collognes and State of Play in E/W Singles in the big one

Only other 2 fancies are Sunnyhill boy and The Midnight Club – who I am also considering backing

Good luck to all

Afternoon all. Not a race I usually would back in but take a look at the Charity Race

CAPE EXPRESS is a 97 rated horse at his best on the flat and returned to the track for his hurdling debut at Kempton 4 weeks ago following a 946 day absence. He showed he retained plenty of his ability that time finishing 4th at 2/1 fav. He should have come on for that run and returning to the level should suit. I am stunned that this one is available at 10/1 with several firms at the moment and for me he is a really decent E.W bet.

Btw - COME ON LIVERPOOL

State Of Play is 18/1 to place with Bet365. Trades at around 12/1 in Betfair's place market. Huge huge price.

The Grand National is run solely for the benefit of bookmakers. Seabass 10/1. Ha. Why does anyone bet in this race?

Do you sleep in here, and if Newcastle are good enough they will qualify rightfully rather than through the back door.

Personally, i think they are good enough but I just feel that Chelsea may squeeze them out to 6th, hope not Newcastle deserve to be there.

Great day today. Think Synchronised can win today, despite the stats, and that Jonjo may have a 1-2 with SHB. Also trying to find a reason not to back the banker treble with betfair (Simonsig, Sprinter Sacre and Oscar Whiskey with money back if OW is the only one to fail) and cant really find one so that'll be going on in a sec.

As a matter of interest how many horses have come into the GN having won their last 6 races? And, if any, how did they get on in the GN?

Just a thought on the effects of handicapping. If 2 riders are of equal ability, one weighs 10 stone and one weighs 12 stone. They are put on horses of equal ability and with the same preferences for ground, course and distance with both horses set to carry 12 stone. So one horse has 2 stone of dead weight to carry and the other has no dead weight to carry. How much advantage does the horse with the 12 stone jockey have?

Seems in an interview, Ruby said he was worried about Seabass getting the trip.
