So he wanted Krul sent off and Liverpool to have a penalty...pretty much screwing us over as much as a player can in a game.

    Definitely not a Chopra.

It was such a **** dive, and he didn't make a massive deal out of it. He wasn't even trying to get contact from Krul, he just jumped over.

Doesn't matter what sort of deal he makes out of it, he dived to get Krul sent off and win a penalty, luckily ref wasn't blind.

He also left his left leg trailing when he started to go down.

IMO Carroll did it because he didn't want to score against. You can disagree if you wish.

    I'd still have him back.

Fair enough if he didn't want to score past us, but choosing something worse in trying to get a keeper sent off which would give us no chance at all(probably a hammering), is pathetic cheating from someone who supposedly loves the club.

We'll never know for sure why Carroll did it.

So, what you've done here is replaced Ba, who could feasibly leave in the summer, with Carroll. Then backed him up with our current first team full strength squad. Not exactly "some injuries" is it?

He dived to get Krul sent off. Plain and simple. If he couldn't bear to score then he would have put the shot wide.
By going down over Krul there was a chance he would be sent off, ****ing us over for the rest of the game.
Especially in this recent dodgy refereeing situation.
Even if he wanted a penalty so someone else would score, if it was awarded Krul would have walked.

    Problems with signing Carroll back:

    1. He's on 80k per week at Liverpool, he wouldn't take a pay cut back
    2. Liverpool wouldn't sell, they invested in him as potential as much as current ability
    3. The club has shown they don't want potential upsetters in the dressing room, look at Barton and Nolan.
    4. We have a new spirit and style, which although he would offer a different route, he wouldn't fit into.
    5. He may just have been in awesome form for us at the start of the season, and done well in the CCC cos he was big. Maybe he just isn't good enough for the Prem?
    6. He's not French
    7. There are better target men out there, such as Cheik Diabate from Bordeaux etc.
    8. He might not want to come back after the treatment given to him at SJP, especially the 'you're not geordie anymore' chant.
    9. He wouldn't want to be a benchwarmer, which is the most he would be with us.
    10. He wants to get back in with England, and he's not going to do that with us.
    11. The club wouldn't pay what Liverpool want when we can get continental talent for less

    Anymore?

Whatever mate it's just an idea for a particular line up. We wont be playing the same line up every game. If Ba is injured for some reason we could play that.

If Ba left I would want better than Carroll to replace him. I would just have Carroll back for the right price as part of the squad.

I ain't arguing about the Carroll dive anymore.

Lets not let this turn nasty lads. Calm down.

    If you tried

    .............Best

    ................Carroll

    Jonas Cabaye Guthrie Obetan

    Then thats some injuries.
Carroll flicking on long balls for Best. Best trapping and laying off for Carroll.
Makes more sense than saying if we have some injuries then playing a full strength squad.
I'd take carroll back because I think he offers something different to what we have. The pressure at Liverpools ****ed him over.
But his attitude doesnt fit and neither will his wages or price tag.
Maybe in three years when he's cheaper, matured and knucked down at Liverpool knowing he can't walk back into this team.

Andy warmed my heart a little there. Only scores when it benefits us and he's not even on the payroll. Very shrewd Mr Ashley

Shouldn't you be looking after the West Ham selections, Mr. Allardyce?
