Sandro has been poor and shouldn't play.

    I agree,
They have little pace and lets take the game to them. If we bring Lennon on it will be a panic sub if we
are losing with 20mins left to save the game.
Start with are most creative team and let them worry about us

Sunderland were "playing" (to use the term loosely) for a point, which isn't an option for Chelsea as points aren't at stake.

Of course, there is the memory of the 2009 Carling Cup final, where Man Utd's reserves held the fort for 70 minutes, before they brought on the first teamers to try and nick in in the last twenty minutes/extra time.

I'm still pissed off that O'Shea didn't get a second yellow for that stupid late tackle on Modric in that game!
Can't say that I was surprised, though.

Chelsea might try to play a cagey game, depending upon who they pick to start.
It'll be interesting to see what Di Matteo does.

Our recent form and the fact we have lost our last five FA Cup semi finals plus the defensive injuries we have means this particular fan is expecting defeat and probably a bad one.

Love to be proved wrong though.

Yep, I'm feeling a defeat ATM, but not a heavy one. I don't think Chelsea have that in them currently something like 2-1 or 2-0 to them.

Why so pessimistic? The Chavs are no Barcelona, and of course, they have to play there just a few days afterwards. I think we can win this IF we go after them, as we have the ammunition going forward to hurt them. If we try to play the cautious game, I think we'll suffer.

Looking at the Wembley pitch, it's less than perfect, and we'll need some battlers out there I reckon as I don't think the ball is going to zip around.

no they are not you right...however we dont seem to do well when the spotlight is on us....when we have a chance to make a mark...we usually end up way off mark..i mean look at the times in the league when we actually had the chance to go second or even first...albeit for a game or so....we just cat do it.

i hope i am proved very wrong.

What you say is true however it's a mentality thing as much as anything. I think even the most ardent Chelsea fan would say we have a team capable of beating theirs. That being said, they'd also say we don't have a great record against a) Chelsea and b) FA Cup semi-finals (lost our last 6 I believe).

This winning mentality is why United continue to win the PL even with a, by their standards, crap squad. They've played dire at times this year, been humilated in the CL/EL and yet they're probably still gonna win the PL.

We lack this winning mentality and I'm worried it'll present itself again tomorrow.

United have more players with extra quality than we have, its as simple as that.

As for us, all we need is a fair crack, none of the bizarre **** decisions and i think we'll shade it. COYS! :)
