What a game of football. Yes it is disappointing to lose but I'm not overly bothered. We are both going up! Onwards and upwards!
I think Saints demonstrated what a good playing side we are...we now have to show that we are gritty as well and win our remaining games. Auto is the target, but the title is not out of the question if we win the last 3 games except it is no longer in our hands.
It was a good game because we played superbly reading contributed very little as a team they didnt even come close to comparing to us.
They did they scored 3 and we scored 1 . They also happen to leave Southampton with 3 points . We gave them the points mind but also we did not score enough either .
Yes, I'm disappointed, but I always guard myself against such things anyway. Put that down to experience. One point I'd like to make, and I'm glad we've had to learn it, in a way, which is that Reading are going to be the sort of quality that Saints will face in the Premier League, if we are promoted. Look at the match and how Saints dominated it, and but for a few errors we would have won. Reading might have done us a big favour.
The prem teams will be a lot lot lot better than reading. If theyre not then I fancy a european run but they will be so I would be happy with staying up obviously but well I'd be other the moon if thats the sort of quality we have to face.
Yes, Reading pulled a sucker punch but I can go away from a game feeling contented that we tried our best and went for it. Not a limp performance like against Bristol or Leicester; obviously disappointed with the outcome but you learn and move on to Peterborough.
Ill say it now and it may come back to bite me on the arse but oh well. Saints are going up having seen all the teams in the division we are the best and the title is by no way decided yet. IMO reading are winning without playing particualarly well that doesnt continue forever if saints win all their last games which I think we may well do then we just need one slip from reading.
I wouldn't fancy going to St Andrews last game of the season. Credit to Reading, if they keep ahead they deserve it, however we must just focus on winning now and keeping West Ham at bay. Second place is by no means a disaster in our first season out of league one .
Only slip they may make is against Brum! Will that matter. We need to at least win against Peterboro to set ourselves up for Middlesboro! I can see WHU winning their remaining games unfortunately.
I can´t see West Ham winning tomorrow. They haven´t won in seven games at home and are playing a Brighton side who have a lot to play for. They are on the edge of the play-offs and can´t afford to lose. I think it will be a draw but I wouldn´t be suprised to see Brighton nick it.
