Now you're probably all entering this topic to have a good laugh and call me deluded, but hear me out here. Football is all about upsets and surprises, that's what we love about it. Wigan just beat United for the first time ever on Wednesday and it was not just a fluke, they actually deserved to win after bossing United in all areas of the pitch. So that just tells you, it can happen. As Will Smith once said, "Football...it's a funny old game". WEEK 34 Saturday 14th April 2012 Norwich 2-1 Man City (Norwich beat Spurs 2-1 away and will be buoyed by that result) Sunday 15th April 2012 Man Utd 0-2 Aston Villa (They managed a shock win there two years ago, they can do it again) Monday 16th April 2012 Arsenal 4-0 Wigan WEEK 35 Saturday 21st April 2012 Arsenal 2-0 Chelsea (I'm afraid that this is a necessary loss for us. We will win our remaining four games whilst Spurs and Newcastle lose two of theirs and we settle for fourth place) Sunday 22nd April 2012 Man Utd 1-3 Everton (Everton have been long overdue a win at Old Trafford and it will come here, after red nose's cheque bounced) Wolves 1-0 Man City (Shock result as Wolves battle to survive relegation, whilst complacency for City means they lose here) WEEK 36 Saturday 28th April 2012 Stoke 0-2 Arsenal Monday 30th April 2012 Man City 2-0 Man Utd (City will be up for this and I believe that overall they have the better side and hence will manage a well deserved win here) WEEK 37 Saturday 5th May 2012 Arsenal 6-0 Norwich (Arsenal go on a riot at Norwich here as Van Persie and Walcott will both be on there day here I reckon) Sunday 6th May 2012 Newcastle 2-1 Man City (Newcastle will beat Spurs to 5th place thanks to this result that they battled for from start to finish) Man Utd 0-1 Swansea (United fans will see this as their easy chance to more or less secure the title and their arrogance will be absorbed by the players too) WEEK 38 Sunday 13th May 2012 Man City 1-1 QPR (QPR desperate for survival on the last day will give it their utmost best here. They take the lead, but a last minute City goal seals their relegation. Cunts) Sunderland 1-0 Man Utd (United are shitting themselves by now and their lack of experience will show. O'Neil has given Sunderland a new lease of life and they will win here) West Brom 1-5 Arsenal (Arsenal survive an early scare to make a truly magnificent comeback, putting five past West Brom to secure the title) Premier League Table Sunday 13th May 2012 17:00 Team PLYD PNTS GD Arsenal 38 79 43 Man Utd 38 79 42 Man City 38 78 52 Arsenal are crowned as the Barclays Premier League 2011/12 Champions After this Chelsea, having secured 4th place, win the FA Cup and Champions League and make it an amazing year for London clubs, at least the ones that anyone worth their salt gives a damn about.
Yurilly You should be writing scripts for Hollywood If it actually turned out that we won the EPL this year with not a little assistance from a Utd meltdown of unthinkable proportions then it would I dare say immortalise Wenger forever. Ain't gonna happen my friend. Before anything else though I just wanted to add that I do not wish it not to happen of course but there is such a thing called realism.
To think, if we hadn't choked in those three losses before this run and if RVP had put away that chance at QPR, we'd be level on points with United right now.
I will pay all your pub visits for the rest of your life if this happens! But this is the reason why I believe that we'll genuinly fight for the title if we manage to keep our key players and stay clear of major injuries.
Great, that's the league in the bag, what about the Champions League? JUST AS LIKELY. Just had another thought - the Manc could go into administration before teh end of the season and get docked 20 points. That would work.
^ Yeah, that's pretty much fucked things up hasn't it? Only thing to rely on now is a points deduction for City. Let's hope they go into administration very soon!
