If hell froze over you think we would simply skate over to St.Fairy's!. You are clearly out of your tiny mind! This Pompey fan would rather die than be considered a closet Scummer. You will be back down in the Championship the season after next and hopefully all being well we will be there to reaffirm our superiority once again as the biggest, best and most successful football club on the South Coast.
Since moving out of Pompey 27 years ago I have watched teams in a few places - mainly because I love football - I have cheered on Northampton Town, West Ham, Swansea and now Whitstable Town - but the only club I support and love is Portsmouth - and so no I couldn't be a fan of anyone else. PUP PPU.
I think just by the law of averages that if Pompey disappear, some of the youngsters in the Pompey area will come and watch saints.
I would have thought Pieking, that most locally based Pompey fans would choose to follow Havant & Waterlooville if PFC ceased to exist (heaven forbid ), but who knows.
Jaytab - to your original post - NO WAY! Pieking - a couple maybe, but they would be very, very few and far between. If roles were reversed, could you really see Saints fans travelling to the blue end of the M27 to watch football? I doubt it.
I'm talking more about the future and really young kids who are just getting into football. A lot of them will probably want to go and watch the biggest local team.
Kids don't want to watch ****bag division 9, they want to watch the Premier League! Why would you oppress your kids like that? It's just cruel...
IF PFC ceased to exist and local kids wanted to watch prem football then there’s always Reading, or possibly Brighton. Or there’s always Match of the Day…. Besides, you’ll be back in the championship after a season.
