I think any contribution from Lennon of late you think is substandard, can be partly laid off on Kyle Walkers poor form of late, the Norwich game you handpicked a perfect example...stats don't show that.
Good point - the whole team has has had problems, so it's hard to distinguish the extent of some of the weak links. To me King is the weakest link, and it's imperative he doesn't start v Chelsea, then it becomes more difficult to judge.
now he's said that he'd better make sure we win by tearing them apart, otherwise we'll never hear the end of it
http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-n...urs-can-win-fa-cup-and-finish-top-four-169683 Harry points out he doesn't want Aaron or Gareth sticking out wide. Says Aaron still has to learn on this subject, otherwise he spends too long being marginalised. Kaboul is a major doubt, and 'we'll see' on Ledley.
Anyone know if Kaboul's fit by the way? Just remembered he got taken off against Norwich and I don't really fancy us playing two of the three old goats at the back! Edit: Read the post above you YV
YV You know what Harry's like, Kab may well play on Sunday, despite being a major doubt ATM. If not, it's simple for me it must be Gallas and Nelsen. Not even close about King, he's gone, IMHO.
Bugger! Double Bugger!! Triple Bugger!!! Gallas and Nelson - not the combination that we would have preferred but no lack of experience on the bright side.
Agreed, but so much better than King playing. Unfortunately, I fear Harry is going to make a major mistake here and play King.
My thoughts exactly. Very worried about Leds getting some sort of sympathy vote. Based on the last few games that could be catastrophic!! Personally would prefer to see Jake Livermore drop into the back four if Gallas or Nelson got crocked.
Yep, Walker or Livermore before King for me too. I cant believe on some sites some people are saying that King should play, have they seen him lately. He looks unfit, he is unfit, Chelsea will cream him.
I think we should play two wingers. Our best performances this season have been with both bale and lennon on the pitch even if the stats don't support that. I say play to our strengths and go for it. If we rest lennon we will end up playing narrow again and stuggling to create any space or chances especially with Chelsea playing through the middle most of the time as well. Duff had loads of joy on the wing the other day and we need to exploit this area. At the very least Bale needs to stay on the wing
not good at all..however Nelson is not as bad as we all seem to think. like Al says got to be 2 wingers..both sitting on the byline...we have to play this game to our strengths instead of thinking about stopping the oppo..if we are playing our game then they got to stop us. Harry v Di Matteo....anyone would think our gaffer could out think him but.....
Nelsen's ok, it's King I'm worried about. I don't think that our best performances have come with two wingers. Newcastle 5-0, NOT two wingers, Norwich 1-3 NOT two wingers, Liverpool 4-0 NOT two wingers, I certainly hope we don't see two wingers on Sunday. If we're playing to our strengths we won't use two wingers.
I dont think he will start with Lennon, I think he will play the following as our forward 6; Bale Parker Modders Sandro VDV Ade
seems about right SSA..hopefully they get tired and then Lennon is unleashed..but with a good 25 to play i hope...as sometimes players come on so late that they cant get into it. to be totally honest its our heads..if the mind is right we can beat them..we got to want this. we needed the week off to regroup.
