Only element of FM12 that has frustrated me has been expanding or building a new stadium on it. Im managing Notts County, in the PL in 2019 pushing for Europe, semi finalists in Euro Cup last season and won the league cup. For some reason I still wont being my board allowing me to even expand on 16,900 in the PL!! Got plenty of cash from buying and selling Brazilian wonderkids and now have a side pushing for top 5 each season but apparently 17k is big enough?? Had enough after 4 seasons of beings turned down so had to use FMRTE to up a reasonable 30k stadium in place. Expansion room for Meadow Lane is 32K as well on the game apparently. So annoyed that I got forced to cheap to get a reasonable request in place. At least now I can get a solid PL matchday income. BTW managed to get Zaha for 1 mill in 2014 from Sunderland and is class as show above.
Football Manager Real Time Editor. You can use it to edit things as you go along - I had no idea they still made it! I used to use it back in 2005 and 06 to give myself unlimited budget
Its definitely cheating, but cant be stuck in a 16k stadium with PL wages needing to be paid. They have made it much harder to sustain grow with a small club now on FM. If I wasnt allowed to build a new stadium with Notts then what chance would I have with getting one with someone like FC United from non league for example.
As it stands this season I am doing well after losing a lot of players, in this window just gone I lost another few but brought in a few, however I spent nothing upfront on fees this season and have sold players to make the finances good, I doubt I will finish where I am at the moment but it should still be a good finish.
Okay right I just spent £9million on a 15 year old brazilian wonder kid in August 2013 but he's not signing until July 2015.....dissapointed to say the least. Got him from under Real Madrids noses
That is a big risk, I don't buy many from countries who have that rule, but I do get the odd few from Brazil or Argentina, I don't pay too much for them upfront and base deals on their performance, I remember when I first signed a player about 5 seasons ago and I forgot about the rule, now I know I don't make the mistake.
According to my assistant (I got him out there to scout him lots of times to make sure) he is already 3 stars on ability (good for premier league) and with the potential for 5 stars. Don't forget, he's only 15 so that is fantastic so I thought it would be worth the risk.
Think he may be worth it then, I think maybe you are right to take the risk. I am so happy with my team, they are so good this season, I think this must be the best team yet, they have just come together and worked well however I do not have a striker who is getting a lot of goals this season they are spread out, Niang only has 8 and Ayew only has a few.
First game in a while, playing a network game, I'm FC Eindhoven and my mates are MVV Maastricht & FC Zwoile
Right, last season I missed out on winning the league on head-to-head behind Real Madrid. We both had 81 points. This season, with one game to go, it looks like this: Barca - 88 Real - 87 Depor - 86 Going into the final game hoping that both Barca and Real fail to win (I have the head-to-head advantage over Barca this time). What are the chances I wonder? .............. And the results from the final game of the season: Betis 0-2 Depor Barca 0-2 Villarreal Surely not... Celta 1-4 Real. Bugger.
Do network games work well? I remember doing a few on some older FMs and they were a bit of a nightmare. You have to be committed to it I suppose. Thinking of quitting Saints and going to a different country, Holland is good.
Yeah as long as you the game host has a good internet connection. I find it best to do it with 1 other person, otherwise someone is usually too busy to play at one point, this Network game started with just me and one other but since the 3rd person joined we haven't made much progress and I've lost both games since and fallen down to 3rd!
It's good if you can get it working well but I get angry and ragequit for a week so wouldn't be much good.
Just signed Messi on a free transfer in 2019 for Notts County!! TBH he is a bit average now, lost his pace. Pretty much stated like Michael Owen on the game in 2012 but shirt sales etc have been huge with him. One season deal paying 30k per week. Bosh!
