We dithered on signing Mata. I recall reading that the player and his father were set on coming but as in the case of Alonso, waited and waited. As you said, Chelsea then came in and we were history. In mitigation to Arsene, he had signed some great players in his time but in these recent years, it seems he and this negotiating team have missed out when they shouldn't.
That all depends if you believe the tabloid press. If you read one of my previous posts you see the non signing of Alonso had nothing to do with Arsenal
You assume my information was from the tabloid press. I never said what it was and didn't question yours so perhaps you may tell us about your source.
Well you did "read" it.I actually heard the truth concerning Mata from an ex Arsenal player Did Liverpool try and sign Gareth Barry and did that deal fall through ? You also find very little football "gossip" in the broadsheets or Berliners
FYI I don't read tabloids. You assumed that I did. How very presumptuous and not for the first time. Did we try to sign Juan Mata and how hard did we do so? Did the deal fall through? Believe what you like but please don't presume everyone should believe as you would like.
