from Werner's comments it seems he was sacked in time for a new director to get his feet under the table before the transfer window this summer. Hopefully that means further investment over the summer in our squad
He was indeed in charge of scouting, and was in fact a total prick. He bought big in several youth players who turned into nothing and got us a really bad name for going out and poaching players at key stages of their development, who subsequently did little else and may well have done better where they were. Scott Sinclair is an exception to the rule. I actually like the idea of a DoF, and believe it can work, but a lot of managers in the english game see them as threats.
As far as I have seen Ian Ayre has done brilliant. Henry and Warner are probably just talking to every one about business and keeping up to date on every thing.
Cast your vote..where your (mouth)..interest is.You want champion league football next season cast your vote now Next season I mean 2013/2014
Made such a big difference at Arsenal and has key contacts all over Europe. Not only that, he's quite well in with the FA.
Question! If FSG has this "moneyball" strategy when it comes to transfers and Kenny says he choose the targets then I don't see what this sacking will change. Sure you overpaid, but when you goto a club who maybe doesn't want to sell you have to pay over the odds especially when you're desperate, have money and the transfer window is closing. All you seem to have done is get rid of a negotiator, who's going to do that now? Kenny? FSG suits? Next transfer window could be disastrous.
