You like the song by the Dubliners, Raglan Road, when the Brendan Gleesonjumps off the building..... Get the rebs on.....
I can give you a whole story line if you like? "It's an inanimate object" says Raplh Fiennes' wife while he's smashing in his house phone, Ralph replies to his wife, "You're a ****ing inaminate object!"
You can forget Schindler's List, English Patient or the Hairy Putter films, In Bruges was Ralph Fiennes finest performance. FACT! It was never going to be a laugh a minute gag film so I can see why some comments reckon it was a bit slow. I thought it was an understated comedy with some cracking acting, slightly off the radar as not touted as a blockbuster but all the better for it. Another film that I'd bought on the off chance but turned out to be a cracker is Zombieland with Woody Harrelson. Got the bloke from The Social Network and the living hotness that is Emma Stone in it plus a cameo appearance from Bill Murray who plays himself. I missed it at the cinema but well worth a couple of quid on DVD.
Watched "Four Lions" the other night on Film 4. Missed the start of it but carried on watching. Some crackin laughs in that.
It's no a laugh a minute, but then black comedies aren't meant to be. Some crackin laughs though as this bunch of idiots form a jihadist unit and plan to blow up things like the internet.
It's utter, utter ****e. A mate gave me a loan of it a few months back raving about how good it was. I dunno if it was because he built it up too much but I thought it was ****ing dross. Shame, 'cause Chris Morris usually funny.
