ACCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDD AAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDD Hated that ****in song. And the drug.
Ditto. It's fair to say acid didn't agree with me. Took it, bad tripped. Being a thick **** I thought it might just be a one off so took it again. Another bad trip! Never again I hear you ask? Don't underestimate my stupidity. Got talked into taking it again. Yep, you've guessed it, another bad trip. I finally learned to stop taking it after that.
I don't particulary care if a band are "Up their own arses" , it's the muisc i'm interested in, not their politics. One thing that is as true now as it has always been is when a band are "up and coming" they are revered and seen as "edgy" but as soon as they become popular they suddenly become hated by the music press and the more popular a band become (especially if they crack the US) the more scorn is poured on them by the ****wits who write reviews. Plenty of bands I like are "popular" and plenty that I like are in a niche market, they less popular band are not "better" because they have a limited audience but that seems to be the logic the music press follow. I like what I like and I don't care what others think about them.
this The first album I bought of theirs was simply because one of the songs was called "**** off Status Quo" and another called "Shagging in the back seat". One of the best vinyl purchases I ever made and for one of the stupidest reasons.
Had the pleasure of seeing them live back in their heyday. One of the most violent gigs I have ever been to! Down the front with a horde of psycobillies kicking the sh*t out of each other doing the Zulu Beat dance. Black and blue all over but had a great time.
You said before that your mate freaked when you all did microdots? Maybe you sat out that one? Anyway, Nick Cave.
Didn't see King Kurt but did the Cramps at Reading Festival, started off down the front but had to move further back as the psychobillies were quite literally laying into me.
Saw Echo & The Bunneymen about 1982 at Newcastle City Hall and they were excellent. The lead singer Ian McCulloch remarked how he had sat on the balcony a few years earlier watching Bowie. I heard Flea from RHCP say that he was inspired to play music after going to a Bunnymen gig.
