Sorry to generalise, Tewkes, but the phrase "Not Good enough" is overused, and makes me see red at times when it does not apply (IMO). Reading poster describe Kishishev as a "headless chicken" had the same effect on me. When I played I was like a headless chicken, that's how I know about these things!
Before the season began I posted a poll to see people's views on who was best - Francis or Solly. If I can find it it should make interesting reading now...
Wasn't he close to signing before, but there was a hitch? Remember something about him even being at the ground waiting to sign. Good player, should he is capable in the premiership with blackpool.
What about Matt fryatt? He's admitted to putting his house on the market, CP would have played with him, and he would be the goalscorer to compete with BWP. I imagine he would cost somewhere in the region of 500-750k.
Powell certainly likes players he's played with at Leicester, perhaps we need to check their sqaud from 2 years ago to identify our next signings!
I guess it relates to trust, as he often uses that term when discussing his squad. But the Leicester team 2 seasons ago made the championship play offs so not a bad idea
Not a very common surname. Does anyone know if he is related to Jim Fryatt, who played a few games for Charlton in the later '50s? He was a promising youngster who was surprisingly (to me) let go and went on to have a very long career, mostly in the lower leagues but did briefly play in the top level with (I think) Blackburn.
I would want us to sign Ebanks-Blake. Whenever he's played us he has tormented our defence, it looks likely that Wolves will go down and he isn't in their starting line up anyway. Again another long shot but he is a goal scorer and experienced in doing so with the championship.
I'd commit a brutal double murder for the chance of signing Ebanks-Blake! Absolute beast of a player. Joe Anyinsah actually reminded me of him quite a bit last season...
Sheffield Wednesday have a big Spanish guy at Centre Back who scored one and made one on Monday lunchtime....what's his name?........ he could do a job for us
I agree Super, I was a big fan of Anyinsah but he just couldn't stay fit. Same with McKenzie. AllHell, I've been reliably informed that he ain't got a clue...
Best bit about Llera is that the sheff weds fans think he could do a job in the championship if promoted!! They really are a delusional set of fans.
Ebanks Blake and Dorrans are both great shouts. But I suspect both will be on Premiership wages and we may not want to go down that route. I think CP and the board will take a similar view to this year, i.e. assemble the best of the young and ambitious championship players that we can afford in addition to the best of the current squad.
