It was very good to see them get robbed of a point for once!!

The 1st wigan goal was perfectly good. De Gea simply stood where he was and made no effort to win the ball. Caldwell did not move at all, he is entitled to stand in front of the keeper, the keeper has to move around him.

The corner which lead to the goal should not have been a corner at all. It came off the Wigan player last.

Then Utd should have had 2 penalties, the first when Figueroa clearly handled the ball in the box, and then when Wellbeck was pulled back.

It feels good to see them robbed!!! :D :D

Well the number of times they have been given penalties when they shouldn't have, or the opposition have not been given them when they should have. Its just nice to see them get their comeuppance for once.

Does just go to show how bad the refereeing standards are - I think it was 5 poor decisions in one match: perfectly fine Wigan goal disallowed, Jonny Evans should have been sent off for a 2nd yellow, corner leading up to the goal shouldn't have been a corner, and 2 strong penalty shouts!

This is what the Daily Mail and many football fans take as fact...it's not based on any statistical analysis at all. It's the same with all teams who either win a lot or whose fans make them unpopular...everyone seems to think referees treat them generously. I've seen games where Everton, Tottenham and Newcastle got fortunate decisions but no-one made much of it because at the time those teams weren't bothering anyone else much...

It is a fact that all teams have been given penalties that they should not have been given, and not been given ones that they should have been. But SAF is notorious for ranting about it and abusing the officials when things dont go his way. A lot of the time things do seem to go in Utd's favour, and its nice to see a small team get some luck.

Exactly..."do seem" to go in their favour...because people are paying disproportionate attention to it. And SAF complains when he thinks the decisions are wrong, just like most managers do, including our own. His style and manner upset a lot of people but behind the bluster he's no different from Wenger, Redknapp and the rest.

Yeah but there is just something special about when he gets his knickers in a twist. He would never admit that they had gotten a lucky call, but will castrate any official who dares question his team. FYI, Dyche is very professional, he will have a kind work with the officials, but would never dream of saying half of the things SAF says. How many fines/bans is it now for abusing the officials?? As for Wenger, he just didnt see it.
