I hate to say it, and doubt I'll be the only one who will, but we're actually in a worse position now than we were three hours ago.

Everyone had us down for a win tonight, with Wigan a certainty to get stuffed.

It was supposed to be the game where we put daylight between us and Wigan and Blackburn.

It hasn't happened and has put a real downer on my evening. Wigan have come through a game they were expected to lose with three points, and it spells real trouble for us I fear.

Apologies for being pessimistic after a great win, but we've still got to go to Chelsea and City and they've just nicked 3pts off United. Gutted isn't the word!

Don't go there Joey, I feel the same way but look at it this way, it was always going to be us and Wigan to make it as Wolves, Blackburn and Bolton can't seem to perform when it's crunch time. Two totally different form curves with us and Wigan going in the right direction.

How can you let that get to you joey?? The main thing in all of our games is to pick up points, we've done that in great style tonight, and extended our goal difference advantage! so what if Wigan won? of course it'd be preferable if they didn't but as long as we keep playing our own game and picking up points the rest doesnt matter.

I disagree with you that it is a bad night for us. At the moment we need to concentrate on ourselves and nobody else. I am pretty sure if we get another 6-9 points we will be safe. That's all we need to concentrate on. Bolton aren't playing well, Blackburn aren't playing well. It doesn't matter how well Wigan do if those two are playing badly and losing. Besides, if we match Wigan's results to the end of the season we finish above them anyway

Wigan is playing as it should be playing and they deserved their win against man cheaters but so do we. We dont need anybodys help anymore just to do our job as good as we can and thats it. We have remember thou that Swansea match was surely the most easiest we have left.

West Brom took a battering tonight. We need to continue this consistency into that game and we may well see 3 more points

Looks like I need to bottle some of your optimism and take a sip now and again.

You can only win your own games and you deservedly did that. Can't worry about anyone else.

If - a big if I know - we beat Brom on Saturday that could be the home straight in sight. Villa play Utd on Sunday and they have a horrible record against them. We win, Villa lose we're only a point behind them and they're definitely in the mix then. Wigan play Arsenal on Monday and as good as they've been recently I'd have to go with Arsenal who're looking to cement their CL place. So we could have a three-point cushion over Wigan too. A win for us would also pile the stress on Bolton who'd be in the position of having to win their games in hand just to stay in touch. A world of difference in terms of pressure I'd say. Blackburn are in poor form and are playing catch up. Lose to the Swans on Saturday and they could be 6 points behind us and virtually adrift. That's why tonight was such a big result for us irrespective of Wigan's excellent win. We really do have our destiny in our own hands, as well as the chance to pile the pressure on our rivals. 5 cup finals to go and glass definitely half-full.

It was a weird night, I actually have us going down now with Wigan staying up.

We need 2 wins so beating WBA will make us favourites to stay up if we beat Stoke.

Must note that Bolton's game in hand is against Villa! So that may have a bearing on either side when it is played!

<ok> Yeah exactly. Another great reason for wanting the "right" set of results this weekend and Villa getting sucked in.

Take a big sup tonight mate, we won 3 f*kkin 0! Skål, cheers and whatever it is in Welsh!

Listening to MH he seems to be putting a lot on our 2 home games, which scares me a bit because getting 6 points from them won't be easy and also may not be enough! So when he says we'll try and pick up what we can away, I really hope he we are going to give everything for 3, and not just 1 at West Brom, which we may need! We can beat them if we keep 11 on the pitch!

Look, that is the only result that has gone against us in the last two rounds of matches. It will happen. All we can do is get as many points as we can. I agree that bolton is the one to fnish above. A win on sat and we are 5 points infront of them.

I'm gutted swansea are not closer to the bottom. They really could have got drawn into this fight.

Its still 2 from 4. Wolves have gone. We are 16th so in the best position.

How can any team be worse off after a 3-0 win? But I can feel your pain. I had wigan as dead certs to go down and this brings them right back into the mix. And it also brings man city back in the hunt. We want the title to be decided before the final game. But as the gaffer says, if we keep playing like this we'll be hard to beat.

Keep playing. Keep winning. Forget about the other results.
That looked like a great team performance tonight. (And did I even see a different guy taking the free kicks and corners?)
Congrats on the win. Keep positive and lets keep all 3 promoted teams up this year.
