its hard to fight against the system PNP......them twats stick together..regardless of what is right or wrong.
The aptly acronymed F.A. will always cover their own arses. They're hardly lisble to admit that a top official, that they appointed, is totally incompetent. Either in words, or deeds.
I think it might be a good shout to use Lennon for this one, it keeps Ashley Cole back, its a wide pitch (not SB or WHL) so keep the old men stretched out. Btw GH, never mind league stats...we beat Chelsea at Wembley last time WITH Lennon!
I have a feeling Bertrand may play. He's been quality whenever he's played this season and Cole has a knock and we'll want him for Barca at home!
NSS, but we also had players like Jenas, who was more influential than Lennon BTW, Berbatov, Keane etc. Lennon may start on Sunday, I just hope he doesn't. The key men probably are the defenders, in 2008 we had Woodgate and King. King has now 'gone' and shouldn't play. If Kaboul and Gallas start we have a good chance of winning, even Nelsen with one of them, we're still in with a decent shout .
Complete opposite view from me. I very much hope Lennon does start. Wembley is a big pitch. For me, the way to go at the Chavs is with width, and pace. It unsettles the best of defences, and Wembley is an ideal place to employ those tactics. We must get back to playing the way that's been successful for us most of the season. For me, Bale on the left, Lennon right, and VDV behind Ade is the way to start.
GH - Depends what you mean by influential, did he provide loads of crosses and threatening play all game, probably not, but if he influenced Cole's thinking so that Cole stayed near him, leaving more space for Berb and Keane then yes.
Fair comments, but I stick by my view that Jenas was more influential, in fact I think Lennon was one of the least influential of our players on the day. I'd have no problems benching him on Sunday, we'll see what Harry does.
Ivanovic's appeal rejected, so looks like the fearsome defensive qualities of Bosingwa to negotiate. Memo to Bale - stay out left
