Nice little tribute to Solly at the end of the interview too. So what are everyones thoughts on Dany, would you keep him for next season?

I think he's a decent enough player, so providing the price is right (maybe a bit less than the reported 400k they paid), then I say go for it. He has proved himself in the air, but also has a rocket of a shot on him. I find him unselfish also, and a few people have said he helped Solly well against Walsall.

i like him. is a different option to bwp aswell and is taller than i assumed he was - in that he seems to win a fair share of headers. not something you'd associate with a winger.

According to me 'wall housemate, they got him on a free. Also he offered to give us 50k himself to take him off there hands...i get the feeling he didn't like him <laugh>

I thought he had a good game against walsall (in the first half anyway, the whole team fell apart in the second) and again, if the price is right and he keeps scoring/creating chances, i'd have him as a squad player next season, plus he'll almost certainly score against 'wall <ok>

On a free transfer yes, but I'm not entirely convinced by him yet, he's pretty slow and not as good in the air as he should be considering his height. He also seems to have poor control over the ball. Can't argue with his knack of scoring goals at The Valley though <laugh>

I saw him play for Lincoln City three or four seasons ago and he was the best player on the park, a constant threat, and when we went in for him a couple of seasons ago I was pretty enthusiastic about it, but he joined Leicester instead and the one game I saw him play for them, he looked lost and out of his depth.

He clearly wasn't fit for his debut with us but still worked hard and scored that amazing goal but looked overweight and not very sharp. Amazing what a couple of weeks does - thought he was tremendous against Walsall, combative, unselfish and finished the header very strongly under pressure.

Whether he's worth buying or not is another question - our neighbours would certainly want some money for him (interesting information about the transfer fee, Haysey at the time it was 'undisclosed' and the two Imps fans at work both reckoned they got £375k for him) and he may have to take a pay cut. If he's enjoying himself though and getting games, the money may be some way down his wish list.

That is interesting Tewkes, maybe my house mate is just in denial as he hate's him so much that he won't admit they paid a fee for him...either that or he has just been misinformed.

I also haven't come accross a single 'wall fan that thought he was a good player, but you can't argue when he is finding the back of the net. I expect to see him a bit more before the close of season, hopefully bagging another few goals <ok>

A yes from me. When you think of some of the loanees we've had over the years, it's great to sees Dani come in, try 100%, play in 3 different positions and score from each one. Looks to me as though he's keen to earn himself a contract and is going about it in the best possible way. Looks a Charlton player, and remember the present board doesn't roll over in negotiations the way the previous one did.

He is okay. But certainly not the answer to our prayers.

Bring back Pawel Abbott I say. Him and Frank Nouble would tear Carlisle a new hole.

On the basis of Monday, my earlier assessment of him as being as bad as Leon Clarke is way off the mark. He was excellent at least in the first half. I like him. Not sure I think he's a long term solution but we'll see. My Millwall mate thinks he's crap. well that's maybe a bit harsh - he thinks he's a 20 minute player.

It took him two games to work that one out for himself!

I wouldnt call him slow at all infact for a man of his size he`s amazingly fast.
I`ve been impressed with him...he obviously didnt do it for Millwall but alot is about wether your happy or not, look how many goals Ambrose has scored for palace since going there.
Plus we need more Frenchmen in the team.
