Fryatt has said in public before that he doesnt like the loan striker role. He has said nothing in any interview that would suggest that he is unhappy. He states he has a two year contract to honour and that is what he will do unless the club think otherwise. Players do live a good distance away from their clubs at many clubs. They tend to share a house during the week and go home at weekends or days off. Its not a new phenonemum you know. I really wish people would stop reading into things and making things up.

Am looking forward to next season and a new strike-force, one maybe that can get some goals and get on with the job without moaning.

Yeah, players with 3 kids including a new born often live away from home during the week... And of course Fryatt mentioned his contract and didnt say he was unhappy, that would effectively be asking for a transfer and he would forgoe all payments owed should he be sold. Anyone remember Jan Molby's 'move within 1 hour of Hull or be sold' and indeed Jimmy's similar spat with Jewell this season?

ffs, he's just moving house, we don't even know how far he's moving, it certainly doesn't warrant a collection of doomsday scenario's.

Fryatt doesn't need to compromise his family life.

A guy with 3 young children will want to live and work in close proximity.

If any decent offer (£2m?) is made in the summer from a midlands club then he will want to go there, imho.

He doesn't need to be loyal to Hull City, but he does need to look after his family.

So you honestly dont think it unusual for a player to say "without saying too much about it" when referring to what has gone wrong in his eyes?

If he moves all the way to the Midlands and if all the driving gets on his tits, then eventually he'll probably leave, but we're a long way from that yet and I fully expect him to be playing for us next season. As for analysing every word he said looking for problems, I think it's a bit sad to be honest, he's a footballer, not a world leader.

I think you're underestimating him. He knows what he's doing.

Oh, and I never said any of this was informed and I clearly pointed out it was only how I read it. I even went to the trouble of important punctuation in the subject header.

i thought in the interview with Burnsy after the game he came across as very honest, he said they held their hands up in the last few games to not being upto standard

He did indeed have a house in Ferriby, though I think he might have got in a bit of trouble if he kept going to Bolton on weekends, I'd suggest the Saturday was the day he most needed to be in Hull(at least every other week).

There are plenty of players with kids living in club or shared houses during the week. Lots of tose with kids. I think you are splitting hairs to be honest. Fact is, he will either stay around Hull and go home after weekend matches with his family assisting his wife, or he will travel. Not rocket science is it?

".....that's 5 hrs a day travelling to Cottingham..."

as someone who has worked away most his life, and most recently lived in Brum (during the week) for a year, I d suggest that its possibly an extra 5 hours driving per week for the duration of his contract. In fact, I reckon with mid-week playing committments over the season, his lodging in Cottingham as such will be far less than Monday to Friday every single week. It's the average life of a footballer, manager or similar I d say?

For instance, I think that you will find that Ian Holloway lives in a big house with land and animals (could be called a small holding I suppose) in Somerset, Devon or Cornwall I believe. He 'works' in Blackpool you know?

If OLM is right in terms of shipping out McLean and Simpson, it'll be a bloody disaster if we lose Fryatt.

Never thought I'd say the latter!
