    I wonder did he see them lift the trophy as far as I remember When Rangers won that non Prestigious cup in 1972, it was presented to the
    captain in the dressing room as the Rangers fans were rioting all over the pitch. The match wasn't played in Singapore and so he could not see it in Singapore.

    Maybe he thought the pitch invasion was some sort of Carnival?
