We hit midweek in 11th spot and it would take a lot of goals to stop us being in 11th come kick off on Saturday.

With all the words like respect thrown in we really should see 3 points coming our way against Wolves, they look dead and buried with no real fight left. Our lot have some making up to do so a feast of football is expected on the 14th, I have a feeling O'Neill will be expecting the same.

Swansea, Norwich and WBA are our threats on Saturday

    Norwich v Man City
    Swansea v Blackburn
    West Brom v QPR

I would expect Swansea and WBA to win and Norwich against City, who knows.

With Liverpool, Everton and Fulham without prem games we get the chance to move up to 9th and close the gap on 7th so the season is far from over, hopefully safety will bring relaxation and not complacency and we will see a good game.

Onwards and upwards we go to a well earned break for us supporters, its been a tiring and eventful season, nowt new there then!

    Still optimistic as ever.

I am finished with predicting our results, and you never know which team will turn up. Team that played on Monday, or team that drew 3-3 with City away.

I think we need a 4-0 win. I don't like how our goal difference looks atm. Its was better at +5.

We weren't that bad at all in the first half against the Toffees, we were competitive and played some very good football.

The pressure was on in the second half when Moyes mixed it up a bit and we didn't have the resources to respond. They scored first with a goal that fell kindly, then they scored 2 more pearlers -very neat, well placed goals and finally a deflection. I don't think the scoreline was a fair reflection on our performance, but Everton were by far the better team on the day. People here saying that we didn't turn up should watch the first half again and I do agree that Catts and Bardsley tired quickly in the second half, carrying injuries as they did.

We're still an accomplished side and certainly good enough to finish this season in a higher position than last season. Nuff said ...

The best betting strategy to employ with Sunderland is to take the outside result of the three.

Anything but a convincing win at the weekend will not be good enough in my book.

Time to get 2 up front and go for it.

I would play: (if all fit)

    Bardo Turner Killer Richardson
    Larson Colback Gardner McClean
    Wickham Sess

I don't think this is the right game for Catts, it will be scrappy and an early yellow will make him ineffective.
