I think to push for 8th or above we need changes. Remember these players were 17th at one point. I'm not saying they are really bad, but I feel that they arn't good enough for what MON will want. MON has said he wants to create a passing team, well we don't pass - we seem to hoof it. Maybe I was being over the top with changing everyone, but a lot of those players will be moved on. I look at them, and none of them jump out with creativity. They are hard workers, but not creative. This is what positions i would get IMO. CB - we need a new CB to partner either Brown or O'Shea. The others would be decent back ups. I can see Dunne coming in. LB - we all know we need a LB - could see Warnock coming.. RM - larsson for me doesn't do it, we need a RM who will take on a man and has flair as well as pace. CM - for me the CM needs a bit of flair. Someone who can pass to a red and white shirt, and can retain possession. ST - we need 3 new strikers. Literally, Ji and Wickham arn't prem standards, Bendnter will be gone, and I think Sess will be. However I agree that we are in a much better position now, than we were with Bruce. I just can't wait for the summer
Well at least you have come down from change everyone , to maybe 6 or 7. However you say our challenge for next season is to push for 8 th. I am going to remind you that this squad is 1 point off 9 th place 4 off 8 th so in anybody's mind surely this season WE ARE PUSHING FOR 8 th. you keep saying" yeh but we were 17 th in November" Do you not see that with a better manager in this squad was always capable of pushing for 8 th, how many extra points do you think we would have had if MON was here from August ( but with same squad ) then add them points to out total now and see where that takes us. It is because of this that MON will not make wholesale changes next year 2-3 players who will walk straight into the first team and with loan ins 2-3 squad players, no more.
