Picking and choosing players to have a go at Oddball. Slating Joey Barton and sticking up for Bothroyd. Its inconsistent and very hard to tell why you pick some players to rubbish and others to back. Col is the same.
Not baiting at all. I genuinely can't fathom why some fans will slate a player till the cows come home yet when one of their favourites (read Taarabt) plays utter tosh, they're immune from criticism. It really is very bizarre to me Col!
Warnock deserved the sack for signing Boothroyd. Watch a video of Reading v Cardiff in the Championship Play Off semi-final last year and you will see what I mean! QPR should have stuck with their Championship team, with one or two newcomers. Instead you have bought a load of journeymen who have not gelled. Will be an interesting match on Weds v Swans. Now that I have said that, Boothroyd will probably score the winner!
Maybe you should educate yourself on a subject before you comment on it my little Taffy friend. We couldn't sign any players for money throughout the whole summer as the last owners were a bunch of criminals. Don't you remember COLIN's number one choice was your very own Danny Graham but the cu*ts at the top wouldn't give him any funds? As a result, Warnock had to bring in a load of sh*t on free transfers and that's why we ended up with Bothroyd and Campbell etc. When the new owner came in, we only had a few days to spend not a penny more than yourselves I might add, to bring in the dross that no-one else wanted. Very difficult circumstances in which to work for Warnock and the worst possible way to start a new season in the Premier League. Believe me, if we had the choice, it would have been done exactly the way yourselves and Norwich went about your business. So, like I said, maybe you should educate yourself on a subject before you comment my little Taffy friend.
Well, my patronising Swords Hoopster friend, perhaps you didn't need to bring so many players in as Swansea and Norwich have shown
I have always criticised Taarabt when he's played badly, like I did when he gave the ball away for Utd's 2nd!! I have also tried to argue WHY someone isn't performing, as opposed to just blindly saying "THEY'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!"
Bothroyd has always reminded me of Jermaine Beckford (and vice versa). Both are players with the ability to play in the Premier League, but neither have got even close to the right mental attitude to play for a professional club. As a result, desperate teams overlook the intangible problems in favour of the tangible benefits. And in desperate teams, the players don't have the support they need - you don't build a team around Beckford/Bothroyd in the Premier League. Given QPR's internal struggles, with new owners/managers/players, Bothroyd has managed to avoid notice. But he has never applied himself, and that is why he fails.
