The pace he has is frightening. I have no doubt that he will make it with Arsenal, the only problem is will he get the opportunity? Just imagine Miyaichi on the left and Walcott on the right. The pace would be amazing!
you have to remember though he usually plays on the left (despite being right footed) so this is a relatively new postion for him AND hes had no prior training. Remember walcotts crosses when he came in?
i've heard he can play with both feet but is predominantly a right footer....(forgot where i read this though)
He had great pace, and he also keeps good control of the ball at pace - a bit like OXO. His crossing seems a bit weak - common in young players. Seems to have the talent to succeed and the stint at Bolton will do him good.
Miyaichi is a real talent. I will not stop singing his praises. From everything i have seen of him so far he looks like he has the potential to become an Arsenal player. He is very direct, very very quick and he can take the ball with him under control. Also for those talking about his crossing ability - in the video he plays some decent balls which are cut out - but he plays the ball into the correct areas. This will improve with time. He is actually a player who creates a lot of chances. He gets assists and in one of the bolton games he made a silly amount of opportunities. Along with Campbell he is the player im most excited about making the step up to the team. I watched him in Holland and have tryed to watch him at bolton as much as possible. Him, Oxocube and walcott is pace to match any team in the world - think of the speed of the counter attack.
Thats whats so mouth watering. We are going back to the fast paced football we used to play, but this time we have a combination of possession football and blistering counter-attack. Miyaichi has very good control for a guy so quick. Sometimes the ball is stuck to him like a magnet. Im really looking forward to seeing him play with the rest.
not meaning to hype the guy too much but as good as miyaichi is gnabry is supposed to be our best prospect though........he is a self confessed barca fan! . Speaking of impacts Eisfiel is back and he scored the winner in a reserve game vs N'Castle Heard it was a decent finish
yeah heard the same...was playing as a striker which means he can play up front behind the main striker or either wing.....versatile!
We clearly haven't seen the best of Arsenal yet and this will happen when the team starts winning and getting more confidence. Ultimately it will be a combination of faced paced possession football with more directedness. In the past, we've been too slow but with players like OXO, Wilshere, Miyaichi, Walcott, Frimpong and Campbell coming through, things WILL change, they are already....
Great talent and i expect him to have the same impact next season that oxo has had this season, he can play on either flank and there is a huge difference playing at bolton compared to arsenal, for one thing he will have loads of options and he will be fed the ball in good positions and not forced to go on a solo run from the halfway line. Will definately be a breakthrough star next season and this loan spell at bolton will have done him a world of good.
Exciting times indeed. The important thing is we get the right blend of youth and experience. Too many times in the past our exceptionally talented kids have been bullied out of games. A few older heads to keep their heads up (Arteta/Rosicky/RVP etc) and we'll be on to a winning formula*. *not a guarantee...
We haven't had the right combination for quite some time but now, we seem to. I really like the signings of Arteta, Mertz and the incoming Pod. Combine this with our younger players then we have a winning blend. The only thing i hope is that Rosicky, Arteta, Sagna and RVP go on for another 3 years at a minimum.
Couldn't agree more. You need the experienced players to provide the mental strength and you need the young players to provide that energy. One without the other causes an imbalance. I look at Barca and I can see why they dominate Real Madrid. When the chips are down, you can really see the immaturity within the team of Real, but with Barca, they have players like Xavi and Puyol to lead the team.
