Well...the idea of Jones starting against Everton has really got me more nervous than normal for this game.

He's 30! He's not a young, promising keeper like De Gea is! Hopefully he'll just reflect on the penalty save as a positive and really try prove a point about the failed catch with a top performance in the cup. He's the best we have available

Where did I say he didn't deserve a chance or that I'd rather bring a kid in? He's played less than 10 games in 2 years and had a massive dodgy moment today which won't help ease himself into the swing of things. So yes. I think I'm perfectly able to say I'm nervous about our goalkeeping situation. Obviously I hope he has a blinder, but he's more of a concern than Doni based on what I said.
Jones has played 0 competitive football in what 2 years? Of course he was going to be rusty. Now he knows he is going to be number 1 for the weekend he can get his head down concentrate and focus on playing. The guy deserves a huge amount of credit. Can't imagine what he's been through this last year and no wonder he was a bit shaky. He's waited for his chance and I'm sure he'll give 100%
I think the major problem is that there'll be 3 days for him to adjust playing with a new back four as I assume most of training would have been Doni getting comfortable (not in a dirty way) with the defence since Newcastle.
My bad then Either way, no point bringing a kid in this late, at least he's had 60mins with some of the people he'll play with in the semi. He's our only choice, can only hope for a good performance

It's not ideal but it's a chance to make himself a hero, I do feel gutted for Doni though. Everyone at the club and all of the fans will be 100% behind Jones which can only help. Seems like a decent guy whose had a rough time Jones, but I have absolutely ZERO confidence in him as a goalkeeper, its just a matter of time b4 he makes another clanger. Hopefully he can be clanger free for 1 game against the blues, hopefully the only remaining game he gets this season, cos Everton I bet you will be practising crosses and headers constantly for the next 2 days.And Fellaini will be touch tight with Jones at set pieces on Saturday
