    This is my first Lampard vs Gerrard article who do you think is better?

    Frank Lampard has scored 22 league goals and 17 league assists and won the premier league and fa cup (domestic cup double) with Chelsea last season 2009-10. I'd rather have Lampard. Gerrard has been below par all this season and had nothing to shout about last season.

    Frank Lampard has played 482 league appearances has 135 premier league goals and 84 premier league assists. Only 30 of Lampard's 166 Chelsea goals in all competitions are penalties and 10% are deflections that's 1 in 10, I think.

    Steven Gerrard only has played 386 appearances, 84 premier league goals & 76 premier league assists and hasn't won the premier league title.

    FOR ENGLAND NATIONAL TEAM:

    Internationally, Lampard has been capped 85 times by England since making his debut in October 1999, and has scored 21 goals. He was voted England player of the year for two consecutive years in 2004 and 2005. He played in Euro 2004, where he was named in the team of the tournament after scoring three goals in four games. He was top scorer for England in their successful 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign with five goals, and played in the 2006 World Cup. In the 2010 World Cup qualifiers he scored four goals, helping England qualify for the tournament proper in South Africa. He has scored seven times for England from the penalty spot, which is a national record.

    Steven Gerrard has been capped 77 times by England and scored 16 goals. Gerrard scored 0 goals in Euro 2004, scored 2 goals in WC06 and 1 goal in the World Cup in South Africa 2010. Steven Gerrard has won England player of the year once in 2007.

    CLUB HONOURS:

    Frank Lampard:

    Premier League Title Winner (x3): 2004-05, 2005-06 & 2009-10
    FA Cup (x3): 2007, 2009, 2010
    Carling Cup (x2): 2005, 2007
    FA Community Shield (x2): 2005, 2009

    Steven Gerrard:

    FA Cup: 2000–01, 2005–06
    League Cup: 2000–01, 2002–03;
    FA Community Shield: 2001, 2006;
    UEFA Champions League: 2004–05;
    UEFA Cup: 2000–01
    UEFA Super Cup: 2001, 2005

    Frank Lampard came runners-up to Ronaldinho in both the 2005 Fifa World player of the year and Ballon d'Or. Lampard is the only English player to come 2nd in Fifa World Player of the year since David Beckham back in 2001. It's very difficult to win world player of the year if you are English as you have to be foreign to win those awards.

    Other notable English players to come second and third in World player of the year is Gary lineker (2nd) and Alan Shearer (3rd).

    Steven Gerrard only come 3rd place in 2005 Ballon d'Or behind Frank Lampard.

    Frank Lampard has scored 8 goals against Liverpool and x3 of those goals knocked out Liverpool of the Champions League semi-finals in his career.

    Steven Gerrard only 1 goal against Chelsea in his career.

    As united don't have any real transfer money available you won't get a choice on that! Pea looks like a decent buy but Suarez will be better and more suited to the muscle needed to hold off challenges.
