Well it was obvious what was going to happen here lol. Tbf to the newcastle lads can't really blame them for this one
Agreed. But please remember, in his own words,,,,,,he failed because he was a Geordie. Now none of us believe that. If being a Geordie is failure. What did Bobby Stokoe get wrong? Or Sir Bobby for that matter.
Before each other took over their respective jobs with Sunderland/Newcastle, Bruce With Hindsight with what has happened since, Pardew Pressure is on Pardew next season though, can him and the team cope, only time will tell (cant see them doing as well as this year), but a daft quid on first manager to get sacked, may bring in a few quid.
Shouldn't we ask some of pardrews old teams fans what he is like? From what I've heard he's a decent manager who eventually gets found out. Also quite smug with it.
Bruce couldnt win a raffle on fantacy island, if he had the only ticket. Cos he is a Geordie ,,,,,, sic
Pardew due to current situation. Like said above before he took the Newcastle job Bruce was considered the better of the two. When Newcastle had that little wobble there was a small minority starting to question him so the pressure will really be on next year for him.
Depends at what at... If it's crying like a bairn, or maybe a pie eating contest, Bruce wins hands down.... If it's looking smug and being like a case of thrush, Pardew walks it........... If it's solely down to managing a football team, Mr Smug takes the cup easily based on modern history.
Pardew fastens a really good tie. I like that, reminds me of my grandad. He's a smarmy **** though, he really gets on my tits (and those of his players birds....). As a footy manager, well Pardew is doing a stunning job, he also did good jobs at Reading, West Ham & Southampton for a while. He'll never manage a bigger club than the Toon, so if he can keep his dick out of the players wives, he could genuinely finish a job at the Toon. Bruce will manage a succession of upper Championship & lower Premiership clubs.
Bruce clearly. As said above he suceeded as an Agent and got us in the s**t... But it has to be said Pardew is a better manager. While both have managed lower teams (apart from Sunderland Newcastle), Pardew has done a better job this season than Bruce did 2 1/2 years with us. I think Bruce will only every manage a relegation battling team, or top 6 champs team. If Pardew mucks it up next season I think he would be in the same boat.
Time will tell, although I have little time for Pardew after his hissy fit, during the last derby, I personally think he edges it by a Nowedgean mile.
Didn't think much of Pardew before he joined but liked just about everything about him since he came. I dare say he would not be my cup of tea to go for a pint with, but I can't think of many in football I would. They all have massive egos. Bruce has never been a good manager. I said when he joined you and he was linked with us, it was the worst move either club could make. With the financial clout behind you, you didn't need a guy who can get you to mid table and then slowly drop away. He does it at every club. I will say he must have good scouts and connections. I know he gets on well with Wenger and has picked the odd player on his recommendation (Valencia and Figueroa). But overall just very very poor.
Pardew and Bruce ? Obviously Pardew has done a great job at Newcastle but Bruce also pleased Newcastle supporters just via his total incompetence. Pardew wasn't wanted by the the Newcastle supporters remember and their results have managed to put their resentment towards Ashley on the back burner. However, a few newcastle fans have now started to give ashley some credit for rescuing their club and putting them back on a good financial footing. Their hero Shearer remember wanted £2 million to manage them. Nevertheless, there were a few Newcastle who saw through shearer. Bruce, well if he wasn't doing it on purpose he really was rubbish. Seriously if it comes to comparisons Pardew wins hands down and a lot of the credit for newcs current position goes to hughton for appointing their chief scout Graham Carr who seems to be able to find players from all over the world. Bruce actually paid £2 million for elmohamady I think they should give him £2 million to go away. Finally as much as I love O'Neill he made a mistake of gigantic proportions with the Greek. What was he thinking?
