Alot has been said about him in the last 48 hours, yes he dived i'll admit but Shaun Derry shouldn't of put his hand our winger's back. I was listening to talksport earlier and a Liverpool fan called him a cheat, that's hypocritical coming from a club that has Steven Gerrard as the number 1 diver followed closely by Luis Suarez, i bet you the manager will be giving Ashley Young the hairdryer and he won't do it again, it happened when Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani first came to the premier league but they stopped doing it after a while
Ronaldo dived until the day he left, he's still one of the best/worst around Nani has improved, but still does if given the opportunity. Matth not saying SAF does (probably does though) but most managers will tell players to go down if given the chance, sad state of affairs, but that's the modern game.
i also find it funny when Chelsea fans calls Young a cheat when they got Drogba and Torres in their team
Suarez must need more practice with his falling technique then because he already spends more time rolling around holding his ankles than Drogba, Nani and Gerrard put together!
Torres is close by too, he dives at every chance he gets, remember his dive vs us in the champions league?
Bale loves a good dive too. I think he's been booked the most times this season in the league for it (not 100% but he was leading the polls a few weeks back).
And lets not forget Andy "the white Heskey" Carroll, his dive against Newcastle was so bad it was laughable, and Kenny's defense that he was already losing his footing and just fell over only made it more amusing.
Funnily enough after seeing it a few times I can kind of see what Kenny is saying. Carroll looked all over the place! He probably dived as he realised he was on his way down and didn't want to look like a complete dick. But clearly failed either way!
Young would go down as if he`d been shot if a butterfly brushed against him referees should be given a warning about him before any match he`s involved in
We can all argue about which teams have divers and cheats, but the fact is every team has them. Drogba is the biggest cheat going, everytime Chelsea are infront and struggling to hang on, he play acts after every challenge to waist time. He even got caught peeking through his hands against Napoli. Gerrard dived for a penalty in the Champions League Final, whilst Suarez is one of the most hated men in world football, for his cheating at the World Cup, and his behaviour since joining Liverpool. So yes Ashley Young did dive, but dont brand him a Cheat, if your not prepared to accept that your own players cheat aswell
Let's not forget the fact suarez bit a chunk out of someones ear off while playing in holland, that was a biggie
To be fair it's not just his behavior since he joined Liverpool, when he was at Ajax he was constantly rolling around trying to get players sent off, there is one incident where he had already hit the floor trying to win a penalty, which I don't think was given, and while he was on the floor one of the opposition players put his hands on his back telling him to get up and he started rolling around the floor holding his face.
A dive occurs when no contact was made. See andy carroll for further information or perhaps Eduardo What young did is more commonly known as being fouled.....softly yes........but a foul none the less. Like if you slightly brush a players face with your fist.......its a red card as much as it would be if you triple combo'd the guy with you rkung fu. If you dont like then I hear there is loads of tough guys in Rugby who desperately need fans.
You cock!! I was browsing and thought what an intelligent thread bearing in mind it was your player that cheated then I got to this. Have a look at any corner in any match and you'll see far more contact. By your reasoning you might as well have a massive penalty shoot out!
Hey, I dont make the rules, I just tell the ****ing idiots who somehow cant understand, nor have managed to figure them out yet, what they actually are. I still say it shouldnt of been a pen but not because it wasnt a foul ( it was, very very soft but 9/10 all players go down in that situation ) but because the lino should of taken a journey to a specsavers store.
