in the bar pre-match yesterday you would think we were going down such was the air of gloom and doom, ffs.

whatever happens Barmby has made a good impression nationwide with players if not all in Hull appreciate him.

We aren't going to do it but the result v Boro has given us back a bit of pride, which is a good thing. Roll on next season.

A finish above Leicester and Leeds will do me. Had hoped for a top 10 finish, and that's looking good after pride was restored yesterday.

does anyone know of anyone still in football that NB is chummy with? i know he's been with us a fair few years but anyone who's connections or services he could call on during the summer? eg his ex-managers or ex-team mates who are now managers?

with no transfer kitty he's gonna need all the help he can get for loan or out of contract players.

at the risk of re-opening the old debate, we need to finish above The Smoggies as well to achieve this goal.

I've pretty much given up on promotion but this is the thing for me. We should be looking at finishing as high as possible for this reason. Finishing say 7th would put us in a positive light for next season and could be the difference between signing the next Frazier Campbell and the next James Harper. Also I hate that we've been better than last season for most of the year yet there is still a chance we might finish below where we did last year, and that we've been ahead of Leeds and Leicester all season and now we want to throw it away and let them have a gloat. I know it doesn't matter but it just seems a shame.

Yeah I'm sure, I guess you're jealous I know who my dad is.

Explain to me the benefits of being a yoyo club. One season getting humped silly in every game, wondering why we're so ****e, complaining all the time, feeling despondent, then a season winning most games, getting promoted again, thinking you "belong" in the PL, then a season getting humped...etc etc.

I know we'd never go up and end up PL champions, I'd just like to think we were actually ready to go up and give it a good go staying there. This involves players, manager, finances, fans, the whole deal. Christ, some of our fans can't handle losing to Championship clubs, imagine how much whining there'd be week in week out in the PL...

Oh and I'm laughing at you because you think you're different when in fact, you're really just the same as the rest. ****wit.

We all want us to get into the PL and eventually hold our own there. Being a yo-yo club is the next step for teams like us to achieve that goal. Once you're a yo-yo club for a few years like WBA were you can get the money and squad right and eventually have a proper go at it and stay up for a while. The you take it from there to make the nxt step up. You must be able to see that having 2 or 3 seperate seasons in the PL would make us a bigger club and give us a better chance of staying there for a few years than we have now?

too many teams in it, 7th and 4th points off a lot easier then 10th, relying on too many other teams to drop too many points...

Am I the only one that thinks enough teams will drop points? I think if we win 3 or 4 games we will be in the playoffs. Teams have been dropping points left right and centre this season and I don't see why they'll stop now. The problem is winning those games!

other teams have been of course, but so have we, so if we suddenly manage to win 5 games in a row, then theres a chance one of them can as well, typical city will be them blowing it this saturday anyway after getting peoples hopes up again <laugh>

Yeah I sorta get that ISTPLT, but, our fans are a fickle bunch of bastards really. I also want us in the PL, but when we're ready, not as a yoyo club, I understand why some are happy with that, I am not.

I just prefer seeing us win games rather than being a leagues whipping boys. Seen that in every league, and it sucks.
