I notice theres a lot of elation (understandably) with regard to those around us floundering (newcastle apart) and a certain degree of wumming. Nothing wrong with this except for the fact that 4th let alone 3rd is not set in stone of yet. I would say we hold fire until everything is secure otherwise we may well end up looking stupid (though on a side note i'm on the verge of winning a £100 bet with my bro that we'll finish above liverpool!)

lol your brother must be a real gambler to have bet on that. To expect a bunch of young players who had never played before to perform at a level above Arsenal is verging on insane.

haha hes a liverpool supporter and to be fair we made that bet when arsenal were 17th so i'm really proud of myself :). We made a similar bet with regard as to whether arsenal would beat liverpool at anfield considering we went there for a day trip so decided to add additional incentive (not that any was needed) but i decided to let it go considering we drove all the way to anfield for four hours and he came back very dejected!

Agreed, we could still end up 6th, which would be miles better than what we thought it was going to be way back in September.

However, on form, we should be able to hold on. Let's not forget that if Chelsea win CL and they finsh outside top 4 then only the top 3 will be in CL next season, so we must try and hold onto 3rd.

You are nailed on guys IMO.

While Newcastle are bang on form they have some very tough fixtures remaining. Us and Chelsea just arent playing well enough and I honestly do believe you lot will get there quite comfortably (damn thats hard to say).

But credit where credit is due and you have found form at the right time of the season.

I still think there are a lot more twists and turns to happen, but I think you should be confident of getting 3rd now bearing in mind Newcastle are the only team around you in better form.

Even if we lose to Chelsea I still think we'll win the rest and finish third.(as long as the team remaine focused)

Not as easy as some making out. Apart from chelsea stike, norwich and a revitalised wigan may all proce tricky fixtures. Having said that there really are no easy fuxtures in thia leagur (referring to spurs easy run in)

If we're still in third by the end of April, I'll say we'll finish there ;)

I really can't see how we'll lose against Chelsea. They have been poor for most of this season and their for the taking. I just hope we come out playing well and do a Spuds over them and end their season in spectacular fashion....

As much as i reckon that you will get third (If not 2nd according the Szchesney (However you spell it)) the run in for you guys that people are saying is easy really isnt... IMO at the end of the season the bottom teams are often harder to play at the end of the season...

I think it will be closer than alot of you think with Wolves and their physical approach plus they need to keep tabs with Bolton, Wigan etc (they did nick a draw at yours didnt they?).
    Wigan - (See above)
Chelsea - (would usually be tough but i think the first leg of the CL will take it out of them).
Norwich - Well you saw what they did to Spurs.. Holt is a threat in the air and it appears on the ground.
Stoke away is never easy plus the constant aerial play is always a threat.
West Brom beat you guys at your ground last season and are very good at fraustrating teams.

    My Two cents <badger>

Good lord I never take a result for granted supporting Arsenal! It makes me a nervous wreck but on a positive note I worry away the extra pounds. Bonus. If I supported United I'd be a fatty of Rooney-esq proportions!

If we beat Wolves I'll be far more confident as the points cushion should take a bit of pressure off the players. How I'd laugh if we were to over take Citeh though!

Even as a Newcastle fan id laugh if you guys got 2nd! My hatred for Nasri and Clichy for leaving the team that made them is as much as it is for Carroll!

On a side Note i am starting to like Piers Morgan! Its always good when a Celebrity publically humilliates someone who deserves it!

<laugh> That's why I mention Fat Sam, it was only a couple of months ago that some were suggesting he replaced Wenger . . .
